You are looking at this whole thing wrong, but then again, so do a lot of Christian's..

Well then, put me on the right course.

Do you agree that life in the garden of Eden hefore sin was Gods original design for us and the best lifestyle and diet for us regarding health and longevity?

Are you absolutely certain you know what they ate in the Garden of Eden? :D

I was under the impression that the way that animals were killed via the "kosher method" removed most if not all the blood and anything else that would be left would be cooked out be default?
True, but the blood supplies nutrients and minerals, oxygen to organs, ligaments, etc.
So while it is a small percentage, it's always there.

I don’t care for tattoos for myself. None of the women in my family have them. My nephews got one to honor their father when he died. But otherwise, it isn’t a practice that was prevalent in my life.

For me, it isn’t a positive representation of my femininity or the loveliness I embody. And I don’t think marking my body is the idea God had in mind for my disposition or influence on others. I prefer to encourage women to embrace their womanliness in its holy form.

I'm against tattoos for several reasons. While we are not under the law, it says clearly we should not get them. Leviticus certainly says it is wrong to get them. Although, your motivate of covering up a bad tattoo has merit. Sometimes God says things in the OT, and they are based on actuAl reasons. Like not eating pork, because of
Trichinosis!

Second, my RA physiotherapist has Psoriatic Arthritis, similar to RA. She told me she has 2 small tattoos, and a few piercings besides her ears. She did a lot of research, and there is a lot of evidence to support tattoos and piercings triggering these serious autoimmune diseases. (I got my ears pierced at 18. No tattoos!) so while I don't think that it triggered my RA, anyone with autoimmune disease in their family should not get it. All those chemicals and toxic inks simply cannot be good for the body. And the toxicity would be every day for the rest of your life.

No one in my family, immediate, and extended, has a tattoo. They simply aren't considered to be something we do! In other words, tattoos are in bad taste. In my family, at least!

Finally, I personally think tattoos are ugly, esp. when they turn to that ugly shade of green. The more and bigger they get, the uglier. I like to change my earrings all the time. I can't imagine putting something in your body that was stuck there forever.

As for the OP, I think your best option would be removal or a skin coloured one to cover it. Although, that would mean more ink in your body. I hope you figure it out.

I have plenty of them and for me persoally i plan to get more but i take my time now and dont rush them. The way i view it is you must be careful what you seek from others when asking their opinions or thoughts. I think in all things no matter what you should always look to the word of our father and pray. Until you get an answer do nothing. But asking all of us will usually net you a pot of yes, no, maybe, and so forth. I believe this is personal and in the end you must make the decision for yourself and seek God.

Well for me it USE to be the few that had them.. not its anyone everyone. I don't care for them. My son .. :) would have done anything I asked. He has them. Up to you if you want one or not.

I read somewhere here about "garden of Eden" and "diet". Yeah.. there was no diet. No killing anything to eat it on and on. Was not till after the fall..

Should a Christian get a Tattoo?

What about if it's to cover up an old tattoo they got before they was a Christian? A tramp stamp even.

What about if it's to signify your faith or something? As a kind of symbol and reminder of your faith if you will.

I have an old tramp stamp on my left arm from when I was about 15 years old that I have forever regretted!

But I've never really been into tattoos that much (I like them, just more on other people than on me).

Besides, I've always believed that the body is a temple for the Holy Spirit and shouldn't be "defiled" or "marked" in any way.

But then that doesn't mean that I would be less of a Christian or lose my salvation because of it.

I was just thinking of getting something to cover up this ridiculous thing on my arm with something subtle like. Nothing majorly big anyway.

Would love to get people's feedback on this and hear what the majority has to say on the matter.

Cheers!
No, our bodies are the Temple of the Lord, and why would we desire to copy the unbeliever's culture of marring the body.
If our bodies were meant to be "sign boards"..........see the ridiculousness of that statement?
Anyone I see with the tattoo's always makes me think of pagan's in time's past and of various types of pagan tribes. It's utter darkness.

Of all the sin u could do in life, ink is not the one to worry about....
I find that those with faith apologise for sin. But the folk who are sinning in huge quantities are often in political leadership roles. They NEVER apologise

Re: the tattoo "of your youth"...think hard and pray... ask for guidance..so that you don't make ANOTHER mistake. I M H O

In the meantime, since you said you didn't like it.....there is/are makeup to cover on a temporary basis..til you know exactly what you want to do about it.
Good Luck!

I did not know what a tramp stamp was so I had to look it up.

I do not think a Christian should get a tattoo of any kind whether religious or not.

Our bodies are the temple of the Lord and we belong to Him and are not our own, and we are created by God and He created us how He wanted us to look like so why would we change that.

some cultures have tradtion eg Maori moko and samoan leg tattoos telling a story.
Although as a christian you might be wary of tattoos and piercings - you dont really want a mark of the beast on you esp as they designed to be permanent

so might depend on what it is. Apparently Jews got tattooed numbers on them in the concentration camps.

Well, I have lots of tattoos. The first ones I got were after I lost my parents. All of mine have deep meaning to my heart and I love them. I only have them where they show and many people compliment them. One , which is very lovely and meaningful is for my husband that passed away 7 years ago. Its a saying about our love that you used all the time. Others I have are beautiful feathers for my grandkids. I would never get anything trendy or popular. But, I consider taking care of my body by exercising, eating right and trying my best to be Christ like to others. I think a tattoo is a personal choice. Ir sounds like your earlier tattoo was a silly kid mistake and you regret it. God doesn't want you living a regretful life, He wants your life to be joy-filled. Talk to Him about it. He's full of grace and love. You'll figure out whats best. Would you feel better if it was covered with some beautiful art or just live with it as a mistake? Talk to Him.
