singing in spirit

How often do you do this
I have just kinda discovered this..its so fun
A good way to exercise your gift of tongues. Also I am learning new words!

I just do it at home tho, but how many of you do it in church gatherings? Is it encouraged or does your church only ever sing in one tongue?

right. well I dont know what everyone else is doing then. Making up their own songs?

I have sung in the
spirit but not all that much. Mostly I speak in tongues in prayer - when I sense that I'm not speaking what I ought.
It's kind of like shifting gears in a car.

Sometimes when reading scripture, I start singing what I am reading. Sometimes it becomes a new song or the idea for a new worship song. I'm a songwriter.

thats cool wish I had a gift like that..to write songs

But I just have to make use of the gift Ive been given...though sometimes theres no real insruction on HOW in churches...I didnt know I was alto until I joined a choir (briefly) but this wasnt a church choir cos churches just do not have choirs anymore! They all seem to have rock bands...and I am NOT a fan of rock music particularly.
