I want to know Jesus love for me. I have trouble with trusting him fully. I get worried he may turn me away . Still I never seen Jesus in the gospels reject or turn away a person who came to him sincerely which I have found comfort in.
Precious precious sister in Jesus and a beautiful daughter of the Father.
You are a daughter and the apple of his eyes.
So maybe we break down your post above and not in line with your post above.
You have trouble trusting Jesus and get worried he will he will turn you away.
Now that's common amongst Christians and can result for a number of reasons.
This ranges from upbringing to doctrine you have taught.
I'm a prime example of thoughts here.
Shocking upbringing, never knew my dad, thrown out by mum @14 years old.
The previous 13 years never told she loved me. Beat me, called me ***** so many times.
When thrown out was fostered by a Christian family.
Spent next 5 years being sexually abused by my foster dad.
When younger sexually abused by a cousin, when I mentioned this it was brushed over.
Sexually abused by an uncle. He masturbated against when I shared a bed with him (can't remember why were in the bed, I was about 9)
Now as a result of this I could not trust anyone.
I never had a positive male/female role in my early/teens to adult life.
So trusting God will be a result of this.
So let's look a what God says.
Psalms 55:22
22 Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
Isaiah 42:3-4
3 He will not crush the weakest reed
or put out a flickering candle.
He will bring justice to all who have been wronged.
4 He will not falter or lose heart
until justice prevails throughout the earth.
Even distant lands beyond the sea will wait for his instruction.”
1 Peter 5:7
7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
Let's look at "I want to know Jesus love for me?
I can only assume that you are talking about emotions here?
I only base this on the word "Know"
Now if this is the case then we have a problem.
The problem is that we are allowing emotions to dictate our faith and reality.
Truth is that this just get worse.
We have to allow our faith and reality to dictate our emotions.
If we do so then our emotions will come into line with the reality.
So let's look at the faith element.
I have no doubt that you have faith in Jesus. I believe you that you believe that Jesus is the son of God who died and rose again for the forgiveness of sins and reconciliation to our Father so that as a result you can come for the throne of God.
Romans 5:1-2
3. The Assurance Provided by the Gospel: The Hope of Salvation (5:1–8:39)
The Hope of Glory (5:1-21)
From Justification to Salvation
1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
Now let's look a Jesus love for you.
On the cross
John 19:28-29
The Death of Jesus
John 19:28-30// Matt 27:45-56 // Mark 15:33-41 // Luke 23:44-49
28 Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he said, “I am thirsty.”29 A jar of sour wine was sitting there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put it on a hyssop branch, and held it up to his lips.
That's his love for us.
He died for us.
Hung on that cross for a period of time all our sins were laid upon him.
When he said it's finished and died the temple curtain was broken in two.
That means we could come before God.
Finally to finish as I know I have gone on a bit.
Jesus when praying before his death prayed this.
John 17:23
23 I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.
Notice GOD LOVES YOU AS MUCH AS HE LOVES YOU, JESUS LOVES YOU AS MUCH AS HE LOVES GOD.
That is the reality.
Stand on the reality, not the emotions.
Ask God to deal with emotions, pray for healing.
He will do it. I know know he will. He did it for me.
