Flee from the evil or fight against it?

• Proverbs 14:16 -> “A wise one fears and departs from evil, but the fool rages and is sure.”.

At first, we are induced to think that we ought to fight against the evil so that the good can predominate. However, what are the instructions of the Holy Scripture?

• 1Th 5:22 -> “Abstain from every appearance of evil.”.
• Psa 91:1 -> “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall rest under the shadow of the Almighty.”.
• Mat 5:39 -> “But I say to you, Do not resist evil. But whoever shall strike you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.”.
• Pro 24:21 -> “My son, fear Jehovah and the king; and do not fellowship with those who are given to change;”.

If it was for us to struggle against the evil, Jesus should have done us as lions. However:

• Mat 10:16 -> “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves.”.

In Revelation, the Creator is clear:

• Rev 18:4 -> “And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, *Come out of her*, My people, that you may not be partakers of her sins, and that you may not receive of her plagues.”.

Perhaps you will question: “but, and what about the following verses?”.

• 2Co 10:3-5 -> “For though walking about in flesh, we do not war according to flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, pulling down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ;”.
• Eph 5:11 -> “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”;
• 2Cor 6:7 -> “by our message of truth, and by the power of God. We have righteousness as our weapon, both to attack and to defend ourselves.”.

The question is: how should we reprove works of darkness? How to use the weapons of attack? Making of ourselves an instrument of justice and truth:

• Pro 28:4 -> “Those who forsake the law praise the wicked; but those who keep the law plead against them.”.

So, have a good day don’t defying the perverse. Be column and stronghold of the truth (1Tim 3:15) and those who crave for being different and live a profitable life in Christ will welcome you and be grateful for you having shunned every evil (Isa 33:14,15).

IF the battle is the Lords then why would We need to fight anyone or anything? Stand firm then and Trust in Jesus amen

When the Word says to flee fro evil. It means to flee from sin.

Be blessed :)
