A short blog on true love and loving like Jesus. With all the things going on in the world I need break from all the negativity.
Blog one - Choosing to love
Doesn't matter what kind of friendship that we are in or the ministry position. Love is a key component. As that old saying and song goes, "they will know that we are Christians by our love, by our love."
If we are in constant striff, lost people will want nothing to do with Christianity. Same if we behave just like the like the lost word, they will see no difference. Then their conclusion will be that Christianity won't help them or give them hope.
Same with loving people. If people don't see that we love, why would they want to be around us? If there's constant rifts and strife with people we will find ourselves all alone.
One thing that comes to mind about loving people is: serving. Christ is our example. Christ came to serve not to be served. Helping others makes the most difference and most impact. A selfish person doesn't have that kind of luxury.
A challenge would be to ask ourselves how can serve others? How can I serve in the church? How can I love people more? How can I stop making life about me?
