They are resurrected so that God can put them in their proper place. God will create a new heaven and new earth where sinners don't belong. I don't believe sinners have no spirit. I believe that they don't have the Holy Spirit. What they have is the evil spirit of their father the devil.
It would be more loving of God not to resurrect them. Also, their love ones would not have sorrow.

I believe this is when the wailing and gnashing of teeth happens among the unbelievers (who are called the dead even as resurrected beings), who will surely know what fate awaits them. As Paul said, It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. How long judgment itself takes is anybody's guess. We are told that all is exposed and laid bare. Gosh, for how many people??? Millions? Billions? LOL. Not that this is a laughing matter, no. It could take as we say in our modern vernacular, "forever." Believers have nothing to fear in the judgment, for our sins have already been dealt with, and it is only our works for the Lord which are weighed. I found it odd (and illogical!) that non-believers would complain about being barred from "heaven," as if they thought God should allow them entry into His house when they deny His very existence!
Matthew 8:12
But the children of the kingdom will be thrown outside into the darkness. People there will be weeping and grinding their teeth.”

Matthew 13:42
He will throw them into a burning furnace. People there will be weeping and grinding their teeth.

Matthew 13:50
and will throw the evil ones into a burning furnace. People there will be weeping and grinding their teeth.

Matthew 22:13
Then the king said to his servants, ‘Tie his hands and feet and throw him out into the farthest darkness. People there will be weeping and grinding their teeth.’

Matthew 24:51
He will cut them in pieces and put them in a place with the hypocrites. People there will be weeping and grinding their teeth.

Matthew 25:30
Now take the worthless servant and throw him out into the farthest darkness.’ “People there will be weeping and grinding their teeth.

Mark 9:18
Wherever it overpowers him, it throws him into a fit. He foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and stiffens up. So I spoke to your disciples to see if they could throw it out, but they couldn’t.”

Luke 13:28
There will be weeping and grinding of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in God’s kingdom, but you yourselves will be thrown out.

It appears in some of the texts the teeth thing is after the Judgement when they are cast out.

There is no life outside of Christ. One must be born again (Jesus said so!). The physical comes
first, and then? The Spiritual. If one has not been born again of the Holy Spirit of God, they pass
into the second death at the end of this age following the resurrection and judgment of all,
because they have willingly, knowingly, and persistently denied knowledge of God, Who ALONE
is immortal.
These things are all quite explicitly stated in Scripture. Many teach contrarily to these things.

You use the word annihilation, but generally speaking, I do not. I prefer to
use Biblical words, such as those given in the multitude of verses I provided.

As a Christian, I have never denied the Deity of Christ.
Hello Magenta,

"A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.”

Without jumping to any other scripture, please explain the meaning of being tormented forever and ever and not having any rest day or night. Surely you can understand that in order for one to be tormented in fire and sulfur and for said torment in flame to rise up forever and ever, one must be existing. Otherwise that scriptural statement would be false. If one is annihilated, they would not be able to be tormented, because it requires the person to exist in order to experience said torment. It is the same for having no rest day or night. These words infer on-going punishment. How do you explain this away?

They initially go to hell for not being found in Christ. They temporarily die in hell, after a period of torment, to later be resurrected to face judgment.

How is this possible? It's what the Bible says. If God can create the universe out of nothing then it shouldn't be a problem to resurrect a body and soul that has been destroyed.

This is all about righteousness. People need to understand what is happening and why.
If God recreates a creature, then destroying them would not be fair since the new creature did not commit any sins.

The whole church once believed that when Jesus comes He comes to reign for a 1, 000 years but in the 4th century the church decided to drop the teaching in favour of Amillennialism .

Re-discovering the Millennial doctrine has opened a whole new understanding of the 2nd coming for me, I am set FREE from believing that millions and millions of human souls will spend eternity in hell. The wicked will go there.

Because when He comes next He comes not to judge but to take us home and to deal with sin and to begin to reign in righteousness from Jerusalem ... and the rest of mankind can come in.

After the 1, 000 years comes the resurrection of the living and the dead and we come with Him to judge. Therefore.

Therefore the church cannot be those who are represented by the sheeps on His right hand, we are already saved and will have been with Him for a 1, 000 years. We are represented by "these My brethren"

Those sheeps are the meek who shall inherit the earth ... the goats represent the wicked and they are a minority.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Revelation 20:4‭-‬5 KJV

I think only the tribulation saints will live and reign with God for a thousand years. The church was raptured before the tribulation.

The name of your doctrine is formally called annihilation. In Church History it is a very novel and recent doctrine.
ewq1938 facts are facts. That doctrine did not exist a few hundred years ago. correct me if I am wrong with historical primary sources with link to the primary source, please. That doctrine is also novel.

Then we agree with Jesus that those who hear Jesus' words, and believe on Him that sent Jesus, will have everlasting life. All others will be condemned to death with no chance of having any sort of eternal life in hell.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”‭ ‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬
not at all hell is eternal also and good and evil will be resurrected . Some will spend eternity in hell within Satan and his angels because they had the freedom to choose to be Gods children and instead were satans children

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

….And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20:10, 12, 14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

…Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:31, 34, 41, 46‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s about this eternity

“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

(Or this one )
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:3-8‬ ‭

that’s not new doctrine it’s in prophecy

“And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭66:23-24‬ ‭KJV‬

because you are talking about living souls thier torment is never quenched they cannot cease because they were raised from death and can’t die again they are eternal now the second death is eternal existence in satans home.

just my own belief eternal flame is true as eternal

Annihilationism is from bible. There is no older source than that. Eternal torture is the recent, novel doctrine.

John_3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life ; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

"shall not see life" means will not be alive.

Universalism -all people (saved and unsaved) will see life in the New Heaven and new Earth for all eternity--FALSE DOCTRINE
Eternal torment -all unsaved people will see life in torment (lake of fire) for all eternity--FALSE DOCTRINE
Annihilationism - all unsaved people will not see life as Christ said.--TRUE DOCTRINE

Only Annihilation matches what Christ taught in John_3:36.

Look again. The punishment is everlasting because death is a a punishment that lasts forever. Furthermore, only the righteous receive eternal life, therefore those with everlasting punishment do not have eternal life in torment.

That's false.

Matthew 10:28 (KJV) - God can destroy body and soul in hell
28And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

John 3:16 - Those who don't believe in God's Son will perish (not live forever)

If God recreates a creature, then destroying them would not be fair since the new creature did not commit any sins.
If God knows all things when He created creatures, knowing some would sin, then premeditating their eternal torment would not be fair either. The Bible says they are destroyed, perish, and will have death. That's fair and just.

so these scripture then ?

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:25‬ ‭

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭14:9-11‬ ‭

I’m pretty sure those are from the Bible and indicate clearly that you should re consider what’s biblical. There’s a lot more in the ot prophets that say all of the same things. It’s pretty clear really it’s just really hard for us to accept , it’s a terrible and dreadful thing but it’s not Gods fault we created hell by following the devils will rather than God and his anger began to rage in the spiritual realms after the death of our flesh

ever since , he’s been earning us by the law and prophets not to go to this place , then he’s given us a new hope because we were all headed there now we have a salvstion but we won’t believe it’s real , so the gospel sort of loses its importance when we reject it

would it change how we lived our lives if we believed in eternal fire? This place ?

“And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:47-48‬ ‭

“And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:43-44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:41, 46‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:48, 50

It’s going to be inheriting Gods kingdom or satans forever after we die it can be this

“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭14:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭7:9-10, 13-14‬ ‭
So we don’t have to face the final judgement of the dead but to forth there when we part the flesh like the early Christians we have to do this

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so we aren’t part of this

“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

they are resurrected into thier spiritual eternal body for hell thier inheritance. After judgement it’s terrible and dreadful but none the less true just extremely hard for mankind to accept

Look again. Only the devil, beast, and false prophet are said to be tormented day and night forever.

Nothing about eternal torment here.

Look again. It only says the fire is everlasting.

Look again. The punishment is everlasting because death is a a punishment that lasts forever. Furthermore, only the righteous receive eternal life, therefore those with everlasting punishment do not have eternal life in torment.

No more death because only the righteous have eternal life.

The Bible goes to great lengths to say that most, aside from three persons known as the devil, beast, and false prophet, people are not tormented forever.

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭- Those who do not hear Jesus' word and believe on Him that sent Jesus will be condemned to death.
24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭14:10-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I’m pretty sure that those who prove children of the devil will
Inherit his part and Gods children will inherit the kingdom

“In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I don’t want to argue though it’s just to clear for me to ignore it I refuse to do that I know it’s really tough and hard it was for me but it’s also clear and true and overwhelmingly so

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭14:9-11‬ ‭

Nothing there shows any eternal torment. The smoke of a short torment can rise forever in a symbolic way. Don't forget that Christ promised unsaved will not see life after judgment day so the unsaved will not be alive to suffer forever. Any torment they feel will be short term.

“And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:43-4

All this says is fire is eternal. The person isn't. This is what happens to person:

look at how many scriptures refute the idea of eternal life in hell fire:

"The soul that sinneth, it shall die." Ezekiel 18:4.

"He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death." Revelation 2:11

"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:14,15.

"The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved." Psalm 75:3.

"Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more." Psalm 104:35.

"Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be." Psalm 59:13.

"The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy." Psalm 145:20

"When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: Psalm 92:7

"For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be as stubble; and the day cometh that shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch." Malachi 4:1

"And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed." Isaiah 1:28

"Enter ye in at the straight gate: for wide is the fate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat." Matthew 7:13

"But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away." Psalms 37:20

Judgment is a decision to reward or punish someone. The judgement/punishment for sin is death (Romans 6:23), which is also called the second death (Rev 21:8), and that judgement/punishment is written to be eternal/everlasting (Mark 3:29, Hebrews 6:2). So, eternal punishment is an eternal death.

Isaiah 1:27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
Isaiah 1:28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.

Here the same concept. All sinners judged and consumed at the same time which cannot be anything other than the final judgement.

The punishment for sin is death (Romans 6:23), which is also called the second death (Rev 20, 21), and that judgement/decision (also called damnation) is written to be eternal/everlasting (Mark 3:29, Hebrews 6:2).

Psalms 92:7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

Some teach that God will not do as he says.

Psalms 37:16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
Psalms 37:17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.
Psalms 37:18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
Psalms 37:19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
Psalms 37:20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

Do they perish, consumed away in smoke or do they live forever in torture?? Scripture is clear!

Psalms 145:20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

Psalms 104:35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.

Isaiah 1:27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
Isaiah 1:28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.

Isaiah 1:29 For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
Isaiah 1:30 For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
Isaiah 1:31 And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.

2 Peter 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

Hebrews 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Hebrews 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Hebrews 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Hebrews 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Jeremiah 6:27 I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.
Jeremiah 6:28 They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.
Jeremiah 6:29 The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away.
Jeremiah 6:30 Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.

Why are they wicked?

Jeremiah 6:27 I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.
Jeremiah 6:28 They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.
Jeremiah 6:29 The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away.
Jeremiah 6:30 Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.

They are corrupt and God has rejected them.

The righteous ones will be saved but those unrighteous will be consumed away.

2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2 Thessalonians 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

They wouldn't receive the truth to be saved so they shall be destroyed!

2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2 Thessalonians 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Those that had pleasure in unrighteousness and received not the truth shall perish and be damned.

1. the smoke ascends forever

2. doesn't say the day/night cycle lasts forever.

3. doesn't say the torment lasts forever

it seems like you are interpreting things by what you’ve always thought and sort of rejecting what’s there.
