Hello my name is Mary .. does Anyone have any suggestions for good Christian non-fiction books? I feel like I’ve totally lost my way…I’m not feeling connected to God or my church

Hi you might like to read Song of songs or Canticles ... it's terrific for folks who are out of fellowship with God and the church.

So glad you came, sister Mary. We can no longer rely on the modern local "church" to get us back on track. Christ desires to live within us in the form of His Holy Spirit. Things to remember..

Jesus loves you.
Jesus understands our weakness and small frame.
Jesus died for you so you can just surrender all to Him.
Let Jesus take it from there.
Just stay soft and humble and confess to Him whenever you stumble. He wants to be there to pick you up. Just let Him.

The best source for help is silent meditation on God's Word. That's about the only thing I trust these days. I used to enjoy CS Lewis' non-fictional writings (Mere Christianity, etc.) Just remember that He is near you and longs to hear your voice and spend personal time with you. It's more about relationship than religion.

Welcome to CC, MaryK!

As for Christian non-fiction books, here are some good ones:

"The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel
"Mere Christianity" by C. S. Lewis
"The Potter's Promise" by Leighton Flowers
"The Atonement" by William Lane Craig
"Strange Fire" by John MacArthur
"You Are Not Enough (And That's Okay)" by Allie Beth Stuckey
