THE LIVING WORD OF GOD

God's Word will bring life into all matters if we only apply it.

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus in John 14:6 testifies to the fact that He is the source of life. In Jesus and through Jesus, we receive eternal life, but in the Word of God, we see much more than eternal life; we see immediate guidance on how to live life and live it abundantly.

Genesis 2:7
Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

In Genesis chapters 1 and 2, we see that God's Word created the Heavens and the Earth. God spoke, and man was formed, but man was just a body until God breathed life into Adam. The very essence of life is to breathe. As soon as that stops, the brain begins to shut down, organs fail, and we cease to be living within the body. It is much more than anatomy; it is of soulish nature. The Words of God breathe life into all areas of life for the believer.

2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

All scripture is God-breathed with the purpose of teaching, criticizing, correcting, and training in righteousness. God's Word can give life or purpose to life itself, it can provide answers to the reason for our existence, it can give life to what is perceived as impossible circumstances, God's Word can heal the mind, our relationships, and in many cases the body.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

It brings life but can also bring death. Ironically, in most cases, we must first die before we can live. I say most cases because we are accountable to sin once we have the mental maturity to understand. Small children and the mental handicap do not hold the capability to be accountable to sin.

Romans 5:13
13 To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law.

Romans 7:9-10
9 Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died. 10 I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death.

Once alive apart from the law until the ability to understand good from evil springs to life sin, and the individual accumulates a debt that he or she could never repay on their own.
The Word of God is life to those who follow Jesus but death to all who hear and turn away. The Word of God brings us to the point of complete surrender. So shall we die to the old self and be reborn in Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Because we belong to Jesus, we have the power of the life-giving Spirit that has freed us from the power of sin that leads to death.

Romans 8:1-2
8 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

God living in us gives us the power to speak life into all things, even if it must first be put to death for it to live. A bad addiction must be put to death, bad habits, bad lifestyle choices, regrets, sorrows, lies, etc. All must come to a place where we give it over to God and say, “I can not do this anymore on my own.” I feel sorrowful and resentful of my sins. I surrender to you! I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior who died for my sins and the sins of the world. God fill me with your Holy Spirit so that I may experience your power within me.

Let us put to death the pain we have been carrying, the lies that fill our minds, the actions that only lead to problems, and let us speak life into all areas where we may be on metaphorical life support.

Live into the way of God, the truth of His Word, and the Words that bring life abundantly. Amen.

Precious friend, how does 2 Timothy 2:15 KJB fit into your message?:

"Study to shew thyself Approved Unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth!"
