Perhaps it has a lot to do with the fact that only the Cross is truly important to understand
Before understanding the cross, I'd say that we first need to figure out why Abraham is our Father of Faith. First things first.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I don't think that scripture tells us that the holy spirit can give us information. We must look to the Lord for that. Through the centuries man (especially Catholics) have added to scripture and told us they were told by the holy spirit that they could do that, when the holy spirit is of God and man is never to add or take away from scripture.

The word of the Lord is given to us by God who is spirit. We are flesh and flesh cannot understand God's spirit. We must be born again, born in a way that can understand the spirit of the Lord. That is the holy spirit given to us. The holy spirit does not read the word for us, or hear the word for us. It is up to us to do that. The holy spirit gives us understanding of the word we read or hear.

It depends on how you view the word contradiction i suppose. For the purpose of truth the bible has to line up word for word. Which it does.
The scriptures that come with contradiction are against evil and bad behavior there is allways contradiction bewtween the two. contradiction a combination of statements, ideas, or features of a situation that are opposed to one another.

Many many different reasons also why people here will be apposed to each other such as what they believe or understanding they have and then post scripture that contradicts there view point, im sure it isnt intensional but it happens. Plus the church is devided in many doctrines. Its a bit of mess really its been going on for thousands of years.

Another popular contradiction is why would God do that or why would God do this, or why is there such a difference bewteen the God of the old testerment and the God of the new. theres many reasons why we question scripture but i feal the biggest one for me why we all question scripture is the enemy wispering in our ears. it seams from my research many many christians all around the word are being attacked by the enemy.

14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[a] And by him we cry, “Abba,[b] Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Romans 8

huh

the Bible contradicts this person. if we are led by the Holy Spirit, we are God's children. The Holy Spirit testifies with our spirit (when we are born again) that we are a child of God.

But don't believe me. I am simply quoting from the Bible. Seems that the Holy Spirit actually does communicate the will of God to us

perhaps everyone does not heed Him

There's no difference. The Holy Spirit is capitalized and the Holy Spirit is also called "Lord": Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Cor 3:17)

Because the mystery of lawlessness - which was already at work in Paul's day as he said in 2 Thess 2 - is now rampant today, having approx. 2000 years to take hold. The Lawless One doesn't care which interpretation folks believe in as long as it's not the truth.

Early believers were thoroughly taught the scriptures and the basics first, AND THEN taught about Messiah (the fulfillment of said scriptures) second. But today believers are taught a denomination's understanding about Christ first and then given a cursory explanation of the basics second, if at all.

This opens the door for "other christs" to be taught to modern believers because they lack a proper foundation in the elementary truths that would distinguish the true Messiah from false christs; the true Holy Spirit from counterfeit spirits. It's fulfillment of Messiah's prophecy at the Olivet Discourse.

As a result, most of us today bend the scriptures to support our personal view instead of allowing the scriptures to inform our view.

And how does the fact that the holy spirit communicates the will of God disprove that the holy spirit communicates through scriptures and does not add or take away from scripture? I think you are making up stories in order to act as my enemy as you have shown is your intent.

God is not the author of confusion. That is all Satan's doing. Rupert Meldenius, 16th-17th century Christian theologian, is quoted as saying: "In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, and in all things charity." Good advice.

Because it was told only to the apostles.

As has been pointed out to you already, Holy Spirit..use capitals. The Holy Spirit is not an 'it'.

You are your own enemy. You again ignore scripture and also ignore what Nehemiah posted which confirms what I posted

How bizarre to state that someone who posts scripture is your enemy

you actually said that you do not think the Bible says the Holy Spirit gives us information

I don't think that scripture tells us that the holy spirit can give us information. We must look to the Lord for that.
so your disagreement is with the Bible

It's because too many Christians rely on intellect instead of the Holy Spirit. It is a consequence of spiritual pride, where "being right" is way more important than being righteous. No one has been sent to hell because they believe infant baptism is the way to go. I don't agree with them, but I can have fellowship anyway. Of course, that assumes that they will accept my right to a different point of view.

All Christians bring some baggage into the new life. That's why we need renewed minds. (Romans 12:2). Many things I once believed firmly had to change. I've been saved 50 years. I am still very much a learner.

There is a trend to forget about truth and concentrate on experience. Some churches are not even preaching in the Sunday meeting. This is even more dangerous. God's people are being destroyed through lack of knowledge. My advice is to pray for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, stay humble and avoid contention. The "truth" you hold to so firmly may turn out to be a misunderstanding. The caveat to this is that there are fundamentals that Christians agree on that are not subject to change. It's usually the peripheral arguments that are the cause of more heat than light
AMEN. Pride. Ego tells them they need to be right.

Before understanding the cross, I'd say that we first need to figure out why Abraham is our Father of Faith. First things first.
Abraham left his coungtry and kin on faith. His belief was counted to him as righteousnous, nothing more, nothing less.
When he left Padan Aram, his name was Abraham, father of peoples.

Now God gae him a name which I believe is our lesson to learn. His name was changed to Abraham, which means Honored Father of Nations (Peoples).

Our true kFather is the Honored Father of Nations and our faith is named for Him. God is the Honored Father of Nations.

Oh, ok. That's really, really something.

Have you actually read the entire Bible? And if so, do you think that you understand how it all fits together?

Yes, of course. I have read the entire Bible dozens of times. I read it in several languages, most recently in Hebrew, however I no lnger am able to actually see to read. I have helps that read aloud for me.

This and a dollar will not buy a starbuck's coffee but it has blessed me personally.

As for understanding, the instant the Holy Spirit came into me, I understood all I truly needed to know. Reading with some knowledge of languages has been a tremendous blessing confirming all the Holy Spirit gave me to understand, which though not in words, said to me.."Everything is going to be just fine..

With this everything turned to Light and the Light came into me. God is good always.

Do you learn everything at once, or is your understanding progressively growing/broadening/deepening?
Which makes me ask,

Why does He embed us in time?
It's perfect; it's His perfect will.
What is gained by it?

One of the pieces to this puzzle is rather fascinating. It does not come from the Torah, but it comes from a Book many are well aware of and have even questioned why it's not in our current Canon. That aside, the Book of Jasher [Yasher} accounts that Abram was the Great Great Grandson of Noah. It even claims that Abram lived with Shem and Noah for the first 39 years of Abram's life, before Yahweh called him to become who we understand Father Abraham to be.

Why do I mention this?

Noah was a Righteous man in God's Viewpoint. God would and has proven to use those in the Lineage of Righteous men. Abram was always destined to become more because of Noah. And as we know, Abram became more than Noah, he became the Father of the Lineage connecting to the Gospel taught to him personally by the pre-incarnate Christ as Melchizedek and the LORD [Christ] Himself.

Even Yeshua mentions in John 8 that Abraham [rejoiced] to see this day, before Christ admitted, He was [I AM]!

Your posts are filled with words only enemies use. So now, you acknowledge scripture, and not your accusations.

What have I ever posted that is not scripture based? You accuse with no evidence.
