Singleness

Please pray that I would learn to find contentment in Chirst and that I would trust God in my singleness. It's very hard dealing with the lonliness I feel, but it's clear to me that God is telling me to wait. Pray for Him to aid me to be faithful and obedient to Him.

Trust me, my friend . . . when you enter the gates of heaven, even if never having had a sexual experience, this will be meaningless. The sexual/relational experience will become understood . . . once you become totally spirit. In an instant, you will realize the True dedication that the Lord really does expect from His Children. Those who remain single when they are saved, just as Paul taught, will find that this level of devotion and total commitment to Christ is what a True Child should do.

So if you are striving to be at this level of obedience . . . what does this say about you? Congratulations . . . you are developing the Mind of Christ!

There's good folks here to talk to which will help with loneliness

If you have a strong desire to marry, then God knows that and you will be satisfied one day. It's really important to be established in Christ first. I'm not one who thinks there is any intrinsic value in being single. Paul's teaching is usually taken out of context. However, marriage does add a whole range of extra problems. It is not the solution that a lot of people imagine. I was married for 9 years, now divorced for 25 years. God's grace really is sufficient.

I'm 70 so remarriage is not that important to me. Neither do I see some kind of spiritual benefit in being single for the sake of it.
