Any advice on starting a ministry? A church? A ministry geared toward a certain community need?

There's a difference between good works and a ministry.
Works are what we do in Christ name to glorify God.
A ministry on the other hand is God chosing you as a instrument to minister to others..

Go around your neighborhood, take a poll to find out their ‘felt needs’.

(It’s a joke people/just being sarcastic/chill.)

To successfully start a ministry, it seems wise to consider who is following you. Has God given you the charisma that people follow and want to emulate and be a part of?

John MacArthur once said that every good leader can look behind themselves and see a following. Conversely, terrible leaders will look behind them . . . and no one will be there.

I can testify that God has not given me that charisma that I referenced. I couldn't get anyone to become involved with the 2ndTimothyGroup. I gave up . . . and I'm ok with that. :)

God has made it clear of the call but in my prayer walk I was told to go my way until the time. What has been laid on my heart is to reach the upcoming generations with the focus on discipleship.

Jesus fulfilled the wants that were needed he did not fulfill the needs that were wanted.

Do you have a desire to preach? If so, go preach. Find public squares and preach.

interesting, are you talking about reaching the current tweens.
I find there is always a gap from primary school age (5-11) past age of 11 theres no programs or ministries past that at middle school or high school. there are loose fellowships at high school and universities do seem to have organised things like student life etc.

But sort of nothing for tweens.
