I didn't say you did. I was merely adding something that wasn't mentioned. However, I don't think the gap theory is actually a theory. See my last post which proves the world was not created void or "tohu".
Well it is a theory, you keep showing me some sort of evidence which MAY support your theory. But like I have said numerous time, for 1 I used the same arguments you use for over 30 years, two, I have since been shown all that evidence is just evidence according to what I believed, that I have seen more evidence that to me shows the apposite,

So you can believe what you want, but you have not proven anything, just remember, I believed as you do.

you stated you believed in a young earth once, I asked you what evidence you believed showed you that you never answered, why?

Again, this is all fine and dandy but does not prove your point

It does prove my point and disproves yours.

You claim the world was created vain or tohu.
God told Isaiah He did not create the world vain or tohu.

Which should bible students believe?

Adam started out as dust of the ground; formless & void. Even after he was formed he was still void; so God breathed into his nostrils and filled that void. The process God chose to use was perfect from start to finish. Don't demand it to be "instant"; He's not on our timeclock.
Adam was not a man until God created him. I’m not willing to use the word “void” in Adam’s case because scripture does not use it. You’re application cannot be used.

The only evidence I had was a naïve understanding of Gen 1:2 and being ignorant that God said he did not create the world vain or tohu. It took years of studying to realize my youthful error.

nor did he creat it in vein

So you really did not have any evidence that the earth was young

so are you admitting you never really never did believe as I do as you claimed.

imdid not just say I believed as you did, I had evidence and showed why I believed that way, can you provide evidence. This is not evidence. You don’t make a belief on one verse

You are basically saying that God created the earth vain/tohu but that he also did not create the earth vain/tohu. That's not a great stance to take.

God either created it vain/tohu or he did not. Isaiah said he did not so that's why I take the gap position. Something happened to the world after Satan rebelled. The world was destroyed making it vain and desert like. Mars is known to have gone through something similar. It used to be a planet that was very different but something happened to make it a wasteland/tohu.

Of course not. The world is very old not young.
Then god must have created the world in vein, the bi Ie says he created it for his creation (Mankind)Yet he did not put his creation on earth for billions of years. Why did God have to wait so long?

It's incorrect to compare how a man makes something vs. how God makes something. God creates and forms faster and more precisely. The creating and forming happens simultaneously.
So - why did God not create "all that is" in one femtosecond?

Do you think - just maybe - that the Potter enjoyed forming His creation more slowly - on purpose and with purpose?

When recreating the world, he did it in 6 stages. I doubt that's how it was done originally. He didn't go slowly when making Adam or Eve or large amounts of animals.

Yes, because it leads you to a wrong view.
No, it's badly spelled words and horrible grammar and is incorrect exegesis at it's foundation.
