Elijah was overcome with fear of death, ran into the wilderness, and lapsed into a serious bout of depression.
i.e.

because of the name of the LORD he was hated among the nations and they sought to kill him.
because of the increase of iniquity, he was offended, betrayed his servant, and hated his countrymen.
many false prophets had arisen and deceived many.

do you understand what you are reading?
what is the purpose of the Bible?
why is 1 Kings 19 scripture?
was Omniscient Creator Jesus, the Author of all scripture aware of 1 Kings 19 when He spoke Matthew 24?
is this coincidence?

that was not my assertion.
Funny thing, these computer contraptions...they're really helpful at "reminding" people of things they deny saying.

because your answer is inadequate and gives the impression that you're ignorant of what the scripture says & what it means.
Only to you, my friend, only to you ;) Elijah's agape for God didn't grow cold then heat back up...it wasn't his heart that froze, it was his spine...how many times I gotta say it?

Subjective commentary is of little value. Look, do you not understand that when Jesus says: "...but he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved"...He is making a plainly seen, fully established dichotomy between "he" and the "many" in the previous verse? The "he" of verse 13 is saved, which must mean the "many" of verse 12 are not.

C'mon, admit it: When you thought the "many" were the wicked, you had no problem at all believing they were lost, but now that Phoneman-777 has come along and proved to you the many are saints, you are now scratching and clawing for any excuse to keep them out of the Lake of Fire for the sake of OSAS, right or wrong?

Please stop reading the Bible for evidence that supports what you already believe is true and believe whatever truth is shown you, come what may.

who did Elijah hate, betray and turn against in 1 Kings 19?

who endured, how, and why?

God's Word is His revelation to the few, and and an unwelcome rebuke to the many.
revelation about what? rebuke about what?
what's the difference between the few and the many?

what is the purpose of the Bible ?
what is this book?

Why do you keep comparing Elijah with the "many" of Matthew 24:12 KJV? You have yet to find the verse where it says Elijah's agape grew cold as plainly stated about the agape of the "many". Your "evidence" is total subjective interpretation.

By comparing the two, you're making a False Equivalence, just like you did by falsely equating "agapeo" and "agape" in order to "prove" the wicked can recieve and practice agape, an idea so ridiculous that if you stood up in church and proclaim it, they'd likely run you up the road.

When you find the verse that says Elijah's agape for God turned cold within him as is plainly stated about the agape of the "many" in Matthew 24:12 KJV, please let me know.

Until then, I'm not interested in debating your False Equivalences, whether it be your "Elijah and the many" or your "agapeo and agape".

that does not say Elijah ceased loving God.
what do you think, you pretend to keep sabbath so it's OK to slander Christians?

what are you, some kinda Once-Sabbath-Always-Saved person?
You're really a piece of work.

"Cold" implies "death" in Scripture, does it not? Did not the cold, dead body of the dead son of the Shunammite woman become "warm" and even then he was not yet fully resurrected until Elisha's second "Holy Spirit hug" ... so how much more does "cold agape" mean "dead agape"?

C'mon, admit it, bro: when you thought the "many" of Matthew 24:12 KJV were wicked, you had no problem believing they were lost, but now that I've shown you they are "saints", you're desperate to keep them out of the Lake of Fire.

C'mon, there's plenty other OSAS people here who are now wrestling with this, and I pray God helps them to accept the truth...but you are manifesting a stubbornness not seen since Lucifer knew he was wrong about God's law, knew he had no reason to be jealous of Jesus or feel ungrateful about his position, and knew he ought to humbly go before the heavenly courts and apologize...but his PRIDE would not allow it.

there you go talking to yourself again, attacking your own imaginations, unable to answer questions...
preaching your little gospel of works and a faithless god...

what is the purpose of the Bible, mr. phone?

what is this book ultimately designed to do?
how are people saved?

try and pay attention.

i am not talking about your little false imaginary world of fake salvation and not-everlasting-after-all life.

i am talking about what is in the scripture.
why is 1 Kings 19 in scripture, who did Elijah hate, who did he betray, what did his fathers do that he compared himself with them?
what happens next in 1 Kings 19 and why is it God's reaction to what Elijah did?

ya think this is all disconnected?

I told you, I'm into debating False Equivalences. Please make a salient point that is Scriptural.
