I'm trying out this Forum. Previous forums have either expired, are too limited number-wise, or other. Hope to not be too "sure" of myself--I have lots of opinions, thoughts. Thanks! :)

Sounds like you will enjoy the BDF (Bible Discussion Forum). If you can sidestep personal attacks, you will be fine. Welcome aboard CC, brother Randy:):coffee:

One of my all-time favorite biblical quotes: May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you, lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

I received that in my childhood from my somewhat-spiritually-weak Lutheran pastor, and I've given it to my daughter all through her childhood. And now my current pastor blesses us each week with this lovely Jewish blessing.

Truly--God bless you! :) I trust my opinionated, strongly-stated views don't discourage anyone from God's love!

One of my all-time favorite biblical quotes:
Numbers
6:22 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
6:23 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,
6:24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
6:25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
6:26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
6:27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.

thanks, we'll see what this one turns out like. I began in usenet, on a newsgroup called alt.messianic. it turned to mud over time, and Usenet has pretty much gone out of business, I think. then I went onto a Christian forum, much more controlled. but it's now gone out of business. I'm also on another forum, just getting used to it. but it's a smaller outreach. as I said, we'll see what this one is like. they can get pretty scrappy, even when they're Christian. there are all kinds, and a lot of needs, right? ;)

Exactly, I envision the shining countenance of the Lord, with all its warmth, directly upon me. Nothing excites me more! :)

Thank you. We have mixed blessings in our household. But the Lord is always welcome here.

S. CA? I used to live in Orange County, both Anaheim and Santa Ana. I enjoyed my time there. Pacific NW now, my place of origin.

Yes, I'm in Riverside about 7 minutes from Harvest Christian Center. Went this morning and Pastor Greg Laurie was talking about Revelation. I have a cousin in Spokane, such beautiful country there. I hope you get more rain there than here...well that wouldn't be too hard, only 9 days of rain last 'winter' :( God bless:) lol
