WHY is there TALK of physical healings done and witnessed, BUT none of the Faith Healers go to hospitals to heal those dieing of the Covid 19 virus.
well actually so called faith healers, as seen on tv, fall outside the gifts as described in scripture

they have their reward here as we are not called to fly around in private planes or build mansions and huge edifices for their super duper 'ministries'

you're frame of reference is wrapped around that sort of thing. my frame of reference is scripture

people do go into hospitals and pray for the sick. your mockery gets in the way of your comprehension and the fact actual Christians do pray for healing and it is up to God whether or not He heals

you are quite mixed up if you assume people are thinking they are doing the healing. Scripture is plain that it is God who heals

If we ate only food as God created it, no adjustment of our food by man, our immune system would handle infection, even our science tells us so.

Our food is so extremely man made instead of left as God created it that our main food is processed carbs or white carbs.
I'd agree except the life span of the average westerner has increased over the centuries. There are many reasons, but it is obvious that bad food is not an issue. Over consumption surely is a bigger problem. And the US diet is not the same as Europe or, for that matter Australia. Just one example: bread in the US has 6 times as much sugar as in Australia.

American Indians were nearly wiped out by diseases introduced by European settlers, sometimes deliberately. Their diet was entirely natural. It did not help their immune systems.

You did not read my post nor are you doing anything you said you are doing, others are but not you. How can I say that?

because you exposed yourself with this comment:

"Now why are YOU not going from room to room in every hospital and healing those in them????"

This is one of the most foolish questions you have asked.

1. we are in a pandemic and no one can visit the hospitals as they had before
2. Local and Fed Government is attacking the Church and placed restrictions on all of them
3. I could never as one person go to every Hospital and person it
4. Jesus never said to do that he said do what you can
5. The Maricle of my Daughter the hospital has suppressed due to legal reasons

You try to pray for every person in your local hospital and get back to me when you're done.
1.
Is that a reason why a FAITH healer can not stand in the PARKING lot and do what he says he can do??????

2.
There was NEVER any restrictions placed on ANY church in ALABA or Florida or Texas.

3.
WHY NOT???? Benny Hinn goes from one stadium, to another to another day in and day out calling down the Holy Spirit and blowing the Holy Spirit and throwing Him at people.

4.
Jesus actually told the ELEVEN in Marl 16:14 & 18 ......
"Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.............they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. "

5.
That actually has nothing to do with the thread.

Maybe......just maybe if you speant more time actually reading the Bible instead of posting propaganda on forums, you would have a better testimony.

THIS is A HARSH BUT TRUE INDICTMENT ON THE CHURCH.

In an age when so many people are Naming and Claiming healings and victories and are boasting of having so much POWER, PROSPERITY, and MIRACLES..'.

Why has the Covid 19 virus ravaged the world?????? WHY has so many people died???
A lack of faith??????

Does anyone else believe that the Neo-Pentecostal originating at Azuza St. has done more HARM to the Gospel and the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ than the Catholics during the dark ages. The Catholic's destruction was outright visible and UNPRENTENTIOUS, BRUTAL AND CHRISTLESS.

It seems to me that the Pentecostal Charismatic false teaching has harmed God's church in a very subtle way.
Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. There was much that was false about the Azuza St "revival". At about the same time, there was a tremendous revival in Wales. The truth of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit was restored to the Church in Wales, but there were not as many fake manifestations. Unfortunately Satan plays on the ignorance of Christians and tricks many with lying signs and wonders. However, to have a counterfeit you have to have the real thing. It is possible, indeed necessary, to "test the spirits". Every supposed manifestation that claims to be the Holy Spirit should be tested. This is not to doubt God, but to ensure that people are not duped. I've experienced instant healing several times. I've also spent time in hospital desperately ill and relying on God's help through the medical profession. I've been born again for about 50 years. Healing is still something of a mystery to me.

CORRECT!

You just said.............
"well actually so called faith healers, as seen on tv, fall outside the gifts as described in scripture."

Since YOU agree with the spirit of the thread......why then have YOU taken such a personal attitude toward what I have said??????

My frame of reference is exactly what is portrayed on national TV screens for everyone to see. HOW is that mockery??????
IT IS OBSERVATION!!!

CORRECT. THE BIBLE says that GOD HEALS.

I have been involved in feeding the hungry every Tuesday at our church through our food pantry.
We as a church have been doing that now for the past 10 0r 12 years.

And yes, we have prayed for every single person we know of.

But you see.....I am NOT a believer in a man having the ability to call down the Holy Spirit and heal anyone who is sick.
The Bible says that we are to call the ELDERS of the Chruch together and pray for the sick and then GOD DOES THE healing....not a Faith healer by hitting someone on the head.

YOU of course missed the point altogether. There are many people today who believe in the Prosperity Gospel and the Healing ministry of their church.

This is not about you or your family or what has happen to you. I could have included my brother who dies from covid 19 and the neighbor on my street but I did not. I am just asking why there is not a team of faith healers doing what they say can be done???????

The point is.......IF there is such a power available to man today ...then why has over a million people died?????

No doubt your recollection is valid. Now why are YOU not going from room to room in every hospital and healing those in them????/

This has nothing to do with BIAS or anything else. It just a simple question of WHY it continues when many peole such as yourself belive in faith healings. It just seems to me that you would be able to actually answer this very simple, common question that has been asked to me by many others.
The reason few people experience is unbelief. It is not always the preacher whom is the problem either. Often the sick are not willing to receive healing (Matthew 13:58). It's not a spell or a magic wand. People choose to accept God's blessings or not.

Many years ago.....I was told that a man had cancer and was dyeing. I was there with him when he went to an Oral Roberts concert. This man was "Chosen" to go in front of Mr. Roberts.

Mr. Roberts commanded the Cancer TO BE GONE! This man believed and walked away shouting he was healed of cancer.

When this man then went to his doctor to have tests made.....He never had cancer to begin with!

He did however have an irregular heart beat which caused him to have a stroke and he died two weeks later.

That was my grandfather in 1968.

I think that if anyone chooses to read this about Benny Hinns healings..........

"Though he has held hundreds of crusades over the years. Hinn’s supposed healings still lack verification. When Hinn provided Christian Research Institute with his three best-documented cases, the results were utterly unimpressive. “All three cases are poorly documented and confused,” wrote Hank Hanegraaff of CRI. “If evidence like this is the best Hinn can muster after years of healing —-then there is no credible evidence that he has been involved in a bona fide healing.” [Hank Hanegraaff, Christianity in Crisis (Eugene, OR: Harvest House, 1993, pg. 341)]

Benny Hinn also had many false doctrines. But the real issue is that if the miraculous gift of healing was present in the churches, there would be no need for showmen like Hinn. Every church would have at least one healer. But James tells us how to obtain healing through prayer, and says nothing about healers.

Jesus healed all who came to Him, He also stated "I only do what I see the Father do, I only say what I hear the Father say. Complete, total dependence on the Father.
Every church HAS a healer, if the believer is born again and Holy Spirit filled they have every gift Jesus had, the gift is the gift of Holy Spirit indwelling.
Jesus Himself grew in wisdom as we are all to do, His first recorded was at the wedding turning water into wine, growing to the raising of Lazarus. He modeled how we are all to live.

I would appreciate it if you would IGONE me and stop STALKING me. I do not want to reply to you. I have NO respect for you whatsoever.
So you want him to quit responding to you....Yet, you keep responding to his previous posts....

Make up your mind...will you?....lol:p

Seriously though, it is evident why you want him to quit replying to you. Your argument is weak (unbiblical) and based solely on your opinion. You are completely unable to defend it....just saying ;)

Seriously......I simply do not want to debate anyone who is filled viciousness, hateful and demeaning. DO YOU?????

CS1 has not been responding to the thread but to me personally. DO YOU think that is acceptable Christian behavior?????

You have in fact just done the very same thing. Do you have imput toward the thread or are you also going to follow the path of killing the messenger?????

Those claims were generally invalid. Had the gift of miraculous healings continued to this day (as many claim they have) then the hospitals would have been empty and all COVID patients would have been healed. There are many instances in Scripture where the person who needed healing did not have any faith in Christ. But they were still healed or raised from the dead. So it is not lack of faith on the part of the sick person (who may be an unbeliever).

What should have really happened is that all Christian churches should have responded to the bogus pandemic with one voice: "We will not shut down, neither will we practice masking or social distancing". All governments should have been challenged to establish their case on true science, not fear-mongering.
AND that is exactly what the church I attend did. We had ONE case of Covid.....an elderly lady contracted it from a source unknown...she lived through it was back in church last Sunda.

Agreed.

Every church has a healer and that person is the Holy Spirit.

The difference between what Jesus did and Faith Healers of today is revealing and stark.

The actual, bottom line Biblical truth that many do not want to hear or know is that there is NO PHYSICAL HEALING promised in the Atonement of Christ!

Before you yell at me....understand that I wish the Bible said that but it does not.
I want the Bible to say that, but it does not say that.

1 Peter 2:24. When we come to 1 Peter 2:24.......
"He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed."

The entire passage of 1 Peter 2:20-25 is about Jesus’ death and His ability to forgive our sins. The passage is not about physical healing. In the Greek language there are multiple words which can be used for healing. Three of them refer to healing from disease. The English form of the Greek word for “healed” in 1 Peter 2:24 is IOMA and it means and applies to healing from sin.
context alone makes it clear that physical healing has not been the topic.

PLEASE do not take my word for this. YOU do the work.

Christ healed everyone that came to Him without exception.

Faith Healers only heal those who go through and pass an interview.

Jesus offered people complete healing.

By contrast, modern faith healers offer partial healings to people with the promise the "God is not finished healing you".

Jesus healed people instantly.

By contrast, the modern day faith healers claim that their healing may be experienced gradually.

Jesus performed miracles for many obvious diseases like blindness, deafness, paralysis, leprosy…etc.

By contrast, modern faith healers heal symptoms like back-pains, headaches, breathing complication…etc. where such healing can’t be proved beyond what one individual says.

Jesus resurrected people from the dead.

By contrast, modern faith healers do not even attempt such deeds.
In fact, Jesus instructed His disciples, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give” (Matthew

Jesus did not ask for money in return for healing.

By contrast, some modern faith healers stress the giving of resources to obtain healing.

Already have for decades. , "By His stripes we were healed, and in another place, "by His stripes we are healed".
This is how I always have, are now, and will always experience and share His healing, it is the very nature of Him that we be whole, healed, restored etc., and He changes not.

Major, I think you raise some very important questions.

The operative word you used is "subtle." The Pentecostal and Charismatic movements have had a subtle influence on virtually every Christian denomination in the US. In some churches it's more evident than others. What's happened is a move away from the study of the scriptures to a personal experience of God or the Holy Spirit. Not that that's a bad thing, but it's out of balance. People don't want the truth so much as praise and worship that'll give them an emotional high. Many misinterpret this as an experience of the Holy Spirit but it doesn't change them or last. It's like a drug: they have to keep going back for more an more. They don't want a pastor so much as a motivational speaker who'll make them feel warm and fuzzy.

Your questions demand serious consideration. Where are all the so-called faith healers in a time such as this? They seem to have done a Houdini. If they really had healing powers they could have all become multi-billionaires by now.

The posters who said we shouldn't judge every Pentecostal by a few bad apples may have a point. Just as we shouldn't judge any other denomination by the actions of some; actually, every denomination has good and bad apples. But I've had a bad feeling about Pentecostalism and Charismatics for a long time because of their wide sphere of influence and general corrosive effect on sound doctrine and truth.
