If you believe you have a divine revelation, share it :giggle:
i don't know why the 144k are given as that specific sequence of tribes or why they are specifically Jews.
i know that it is a unique sequence and i know God doesn't put meaningless things in the Bible.

sometimes people ask questions because they are looking for answers, ya know? ;)
hoping someone who has wisdom hears their queries?

What manner of spirit are you?
No, I asked the question first. Why are you not sure of your spiritual status? Either answer that honestly or no one will take you seriously and you can take your kitty litter somewhere else.

yes; it's unique

here's a handy chart:

Here's a post I had made some time back:

[quoting old post]

Some have pointed out how the order of the names (Rev7:5-8) is unique (not found in this order anywhere else in scripture) and may perhaps form a sentence with a specific meaning or message, similarly to how some suggest this of the list of 10 names in Genesis 5 (though some tend to apply it in ways I don't necessarily think to be quite accurate):

1) Judah G2448 - "praised" ["give thanks" / "confess"]
2) Reuben G4502 - "behold [look], a son!" / "he has looked on me"
3) Gad G1045 - "fortune" / "given good fortune"

4) Asher G768 - "happy one" / "blessed one"
5) Naphtali G3508 - "wrestling" / "my wrestling"
6) Manasseh G3128 - "causing to forget"

7) Simeon G4826 - "to hear / hearing"
8) Levi G3017 - "joined / attached / accompanying"
9) Issachar G2466 - "recompence / reward / purchase"

10) Zebulun G2194 - "to dwell / dwelling"
11) Joseph G2501 - "he increases / to add"
12) Benjamin G958 - "son of [the] right hand"

Someone has put it together as a sentence in the following way:

[quoting] "I will praise the Lord [for] he has looked on me [and] given good fortune. Happy am I. [In] my wrestling, God is making me to forget. [But] God hears me [and is] joined to me. [He has] purchased me [a] dwelling [and] will add to me [the] Son of His right hand." [end quoting]

____________

I personally see this as somewhat parallel to what we see written in Hosea 5:14-6:3 (regarding Israel [and its parallel passages I've listed before]), where it says, "14 ... I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him. 15 I will go and return to My place, TILL they [Israel] acknowledge their offence, and seek My face: in their affliction they will seek Me early/earnestly. [...] Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us [Israel] as the rain, as the latter [spring] rains unto the earth."

[this is said, in v.2, to be "after two days" and "in the third day" (not merely 2 "24-hr days," and 3rd...)]

[end quoting old post]

maybe you don't know this about the Christian faith, but we win by losing, and we're not trying to compete against each other, apart from trying to outdo one another in humbly considering others greater than ourselves.

but you -- why did you join this site?
what do you think is your purpose here?
Do you want to be my friend?

the church was never promised a remnant
and the church was not told when they repent, they will be restored to all that was promised to them.
The remnant was chosen and elected to be part of the Church, children of the promised seed

It appears to be, you have a hard time accepting the very simple teaching of scripture below, the children of the flesh (Israel/Jews) are not the children of God, plain, simple, very easy to understand :)

The Church is the Israel of God, Children Of The Promised Seed

They Which Are The Children of The Flesh (Jews) These Are Not The Children Of God

Roman's 9:6-8KJV
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Remnant, Election Of Grace (Church)

Romans 11:5-8KJV
5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded.
8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

As scripture clearly teaches, the kingdom of God has been removed from Israel, and given to Israel the (Church)

Matthew 21:43KJV
43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Jesus Christ Is Lord!

it's a question that i've wondered over for many years, and i think it's relevant to this thread, btw, in that clearly their being Hebrews, from specific tribes, God intends for Israelites to be around in the last days, as a nation, with no tribe lost.
IMO kinda a death-blow to the idea that there is no such thing as Israel anymore or that God has forsaken them / has no plan for them
