Psalms 51:5-7
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
God sent the Prophet Nathan to David to confront him with his sin and this is part of the beautiful psalm he wrote after confessing his sin. God sent his beloved son to die for our sins. The perfect work of God that completely cleansed us of our sins whiter than the snow. Therefore, we have been forgiven for all of our sins by the blood of Christ so that we are blameless, as if we have never committed any sins. That is precisely what the death of our Lord and savior Jesus did for us. God has left us his Word so that our hearts can be connected to his heart, then God will start to build our faith in him and make our hearts just like his. When this happens we start change, not because we try hard or through our zeal but because God starts to work within us. Then, our hearts overflow with peace, happiness, thankfulness and love in which God gives to us abundantly. Now, we can live with a new heart, the heart that God gives us through the Word, and no matter what circumstances we are in, we have the light inside of us, the true light that rids of all the darkness that Satan fills our hearts with, but darkness does not stand a chance against the light.
Mathew 3
14.And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”
15.But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.
It is quite apparent that it was hard for John to accept that he had to baptize Jesus, the holy son of God, who did nothing of deserving of death but was crucified by men. But this had to be done so that our souls may live and to fulfill our righteousness for us. I thank God with all my heart when I think about what would have happened to mankind if God did not send us Jesus to save us, leaving us a path to eternal salvation for our souls. Because if God had not done this, then we would be cursed for all eternity into everlasting destruction because by the deeds of the law, our utmost efforts would leave us short of the glory of God. We cannot stand before God with sin in our hearts or else God would have no choice but to curse us. So by grace, we have been saved because Jesus, holy son of God who never sinned, died for ours, so that God can give us his righteousness without any regard to how we are as people. That is exactly why apostle Paul said we have been saved by grace and not of our works. All glory to God and I thank him dearly. I cannot wait to stand boldly in front of God when it is my time and enter into his eternal kingdom. In the book of Genesis, God created the heavens and the earth with his powerful words and look at how beautiful and perfect this world turned out. God is so much greater than our minds could even comprehend, so is the love that he has for each and every one of us.
