Wednesday will be 6 weeks since my surgery. Dr. told me it would be a 6 week recovery period. Now they are telling me it will be 6 to 8 weeks for full recovery, unless it takes longer......... sigh........... Basically, they do not know how long it will take I'm guessing......... I had planned a fishing trip for tomorrow (Tuesday) thinking I would just go to Ditto Landing where I can park my care within a few feet of the water. That way I would not have to tote a bunch of stuff down to the river bank, and I can find a flat place to sit in my chair and NO ROCKS to climb over/around...........

Not sure though. Went to Walmart to pick up a few groceries n such, and by the time I got home and put it all up, I'm hurting a bit........ STILL, If I wake up feeling pretty good, I may go (even if for just a little while) and give it a try.

Almost a year since I've been fishing...........man, talk about WITHDRAWL!

No kidding...
It's been raining here and the local dam has been releasing so much water that the bank at the river is flooded. Parts are blocked off.

I've thought about going to one of the lakes...but I'd have to drive ten whole minutes to get to either one.

Meh...I'll just wait.

@JohnDB is there a little gadget that chops up onion into small cubes well (dices it). I had one of those little magic bullets that they claim will dice the onion if you keep pressing on the top so it pulsates. Anyway I tried that and it just turned the onion into liquid mush and I didn't even do it for long either. It was all liquid mush on bottom half and huge chunks on the top half and the two would not mix so I had to keep it going for a while and the whole thing turned into liquid mush. :censored::censored:

here is one I have found that works, personally I am back to using the knife.
Mushy onions can be folded into hamburger and cooked, hope the mushy onion didn't mess up the recipe.

That's because it's a blender sweetheart.

Now onion puree is great for a few things I make. BBQ sauce and marinades. Makes a wonderful sweet and sour sauce too.

And you will have to cut up the onion into smaller pieces and do half the amount at a time to get it to work like you want.

I don't use food processors too much. I do but not for things like chopping onions. But it's fine for a lot of people.

Many many years ago in a land far far away I was a teenager. (Yes it's true) and I was working at a county fair for a restaurant in a tent. We used grilled onions as our advertising. (Smell is great) but it also meant that we had to process 50lb bags of onions at a time. Lots of them.

By the time I came out of the separate tent we did them in my shirt was soaked in my tears. Haven't cried over an onion since... burned the tolerance into my eyes. Seen everyone else around me crying over the onions I'm chopping but I'm still dry eyes to this day.
LOL.

Chef Bagna (pronounced "bahn ya") gave me my knife skills....a mean spirited italian chef.... screaming and sweaty all the time.
Not a method I recommend for anyone else...but you do learn to get things done right quickly under extreme pressure.
