Genesis 2:7
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul
Was a spirit added to a soul?
Did man naturally have a carnal/dead mind as a soul, but then God gave it spiritual life?
Is original sin about the human spirit becoming carnal as well?
Isn't God's version of "living" and "death" different than ours?
1 Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
