Awesome poll! I nice mix of lol and serious thought provocation. I'm confident most will just reflexively say #4 because that's what we're "supposed" to say. But I did spend some time thinking about 3 v 4.
On the one hand..
Physically, I do look like a son from my mother.
I know she loved me.
On the other hand...
She was loyal. If there was some sort of dark secret, I suspect she would not have revealed it. Even to me. Probably to protect me.
So I'm going with 4. If I ever found 4 was untrue, then my world would be rocked much more violently than if 3 were untrue.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
Even though I am adopted, I am 310% sure, and then some, that my mom is my real mom.
People have asked me all my life, "But what about your 'REAL' parents?" And I'm thinking, my parents couldn't be more real even if they HAD conceived and birthed me.
I always said that even if by some 1 in a 10 billion chance my biological parents did find me someday, I would find another polite but respectful way to address them, because to me personally, "Mom" and "Dad" are beloved titles reserved only for the people who raised me through every trial and tantrum.
