OK, I am a Christian and been to Church, but seems that my work is always calling around the clock, makes it hard sometimes to attend service. God has really opened my eyes and mind in the past few years and is drawing me closer to who he is . I would like to have a even better relationship and learn and know everything about this man who gave his life for me. Is there a website, Bible Study Book, Video, that would take me more in depth about Jesus and his walk. I need something that will be easy to understand.

My local church recently went through a book called The Story; it's the Bible put into chronological order and presented like a novel. Max Lucado and Randy Frazee did the editing, using the NIV text as a basis. It's very easy to read and takes you through the whole book in chunks. Many people found it quite helpful.

Hello @Pickles2021, when I was a new believer, a number of the teachers on Christian radio were very helpful to me as I sought to grow in the knowledge and understanding of God, His word, and the Christian faith. You can still listen to Christian radio, of course, but now we have the Internet, and those same programs (and many others) are available for listening 24/7 now :)

Here are four of my favorites (teaching programs that I listened to 34 years ago, and that I still listen to today). The daily broadcasts/podcasts run in length from about 12 minutes (Elisabeth Elliot) to about 50 minutes (Dr. John MacArthur).

Renewing Your Mind - Dr. R. C. Sproul (+ other Ligonier teaching fellows)

Grace to You - Dr. John MacArthur

Insight for Living - Dr. Chuck Swindoll

Gateway to Joy - Missionary/author Elisabeth Elliot

God bless you!

The best workbook that you could ever have for Bible studying is the Bible itself.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, or Holy Ghost breathed, and you can ask the Holy Ghost to teach you what it actually means.

Your other option is to trust a man or woman, and you'll inevitably wind up with their interpretation of the word which could be (and more than likely will be) totally or partially false.

I think it is very difficult, today, to find accurate bible study. There are so many men who have interpreted scripture instead of just relying on scripture. Also, most people say the new testament is reliable and must be first, the old testament scripture has been changed by Christ even though Christ said He didn't change it. So you have a choice between old testament people and new testament people, and God is God of both. So before you choose a study, you must research what the educational background is of the author, where did he get his education, and does he accept both new and old testament as from the same God with the same message.

Scripture is a huge book, you need help from someone who has studied all of it so you get a very rounded version, knowing all scripture agrees with all other scripture. That can take years of study.

Thank You , I found Elisabeth Elliot the other day on you tube, by chance. I listen at a 90 min talk she had while I was working. Funny you mentioned her name. Never heard of her in the past. I do listen to Dr. Charles Stanley one of the few greats in my opinion. I listen to Christian Radio often. I am selective at what information I listen too and read- fear of false preachers.

I also say the Bible is your number one book to study.

Details can help but we also can get lost in the details vs meditating on the Words you read as they speak to you.

The only man that I have found who teaches using both old and new testament in his teaching, showing how they agree, is Tom Bradford. He is free on the internet. His educational background is eight years devoted to scripture study, mostly in Jerusalem. He could afford to retire early and devoted his retirement to study and teaching of scripture.

I am the same and want something easy to understand as the bible itself can be hard to decipher.
When I first got into studying the bible by myself, I looked up bible study online and wanted a site that offered question and answer sheets that you could print up. It's free-bible-study-online.com. Also a simple and easy to understand study I ordered on Amazon is
Self study Bible Course by Derek Prince you can order on Amazon. There are 14 studies that explore God's word. You use a bible to look up and find answers to the questions asked in the book.

Hello again Pickles2021, if you don't know who Elisabeth Elliot is, she's worth looking into (if you have the time). She certainly led an amazing Christian life :)

Dr. Stanley is a great preacher, so his broadcast is definitely a good choice (y) (in fact, I used to listen to it, but I can't right now due to time limitations).

God bless you :)

p.s. - there's a recent, very well-done movie/documentary that you may enjoy. It's about the Bible, and along with beautiful cinematography, it has a great cast of well-known pastors, theologians, historians, apologists, and linguists. It used to be free at Amazon, but you can still watch it for free here: The God Who Speaks. Here's the official trailer too.

Thanks.

Nobody makes this particular version of the hat anymore. I have a bunch of other Christian-themed hats as well, and probably about 100 Christian t-shirts and/or hoodies. Definitely conversation starters.

I have some Christian t-shirts which I thought would get some of the younger people asking about them when I wear them to work but only a few so far. I hand out tracts too and leave them places randomly that I order from Crossway. www.goodnewstracts.org

Please
Do not go to a video or work book
Until you try it just you and god and the word
God is real and he will show you deep truths - teachers will give you their doctrine and its of no practical value

If you dont have time to study
Just read a chapter a day of The Gospel any Gospel
You can also listen to a few really great people read the bible
Alexander Scorbys version is free to down load and outstanding!
Hope this helps

It may be harder for some of us to just pick up a bible, read it and comprehend it. For someone starting out
I suggested to 'Pickles' an easy to understand bible course which guides you to the answers in the bible in which
you really understand the bible better by interacting in lesson form you understand what you are reading.

Bible Hub: Search, Read, Study the Bible in Many Languages

With the site above, you can look at any given scripture and compare all of the major translations at a glance.

You can look up the definitions of Hebrew and Greek words and read commentaries on any given scripture.

And there is much, much more study tools

The best way to know about the Lord and His word, is not to read what others have written, but to do your own studies This way you know the truth on any given Biblical subject, not because you read someone else's information, but because you studied it yourself, otherwise you would just be adopting and repeating some else's teaching.

If you have any questions of how to use the application, let me know and I will help you with any of the tools.
