SO i've just discovered my crush of like 3 years or so, has just found a boyfriend, and I'm starting to consider whether life is worth it or not. Now keep in mind that i've going through stuff since 2016 and although i'm a little bit better now then i was before, i feel like this is the last straw. I don't even feel that sad/unhappy (like i was in 2016) i just no longer care about life, or have a desire to live. I'm posting this because i'm afraid of going to hell if i do decide.

You really need to talk to someone in person about this or call:
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
1-800-273-8255

Suicide is not a solution to any problem. And yes, suicide is totally against the Lord's will so I definitely wouldn't risk it. Hell would be a lot worse than anything on this earth and even worse than what anyone can imagine.

We all go through bad times and disappointments in life, but things will eventually get better. Also some people have mental health issues such as depression. Good news is that it can be treated with therapy and/or medications if need be. I'm not sure what your present situation is, but I can assure you that there is help out there and If you pray and reach out for the help you need then things will get better.

You need to find someone credible to talk to in person about how you are feeling, right now.

( 1Cor 6:19-20!!!) Life is hard bro!!! But if I would have done what you are thinking of doing, many people I who the Lord created could never have helped them. And what if I would have been the only person who could have helped them and did not because I did not enjoy living anymore? Because to me the most selfish act a person can take is to remove themselves. And what if someone you did not know has a crush on you?? Would that be fair to them?? A winner which we are brother never quits!!! Because!!!! We know a quitter can never win!!

This may sound harsh, but here goes...

You were created by God to fulfill his purposes for your life, and not your own.

My suggestion to you is that you seek God in prayer and ask him what those purposes are and for the grace to fulfill the same.

Different people get depressed and even suicidal for different reasons, but I honestly feel that the Lord keeps bringing something back to my mind, so I'll share it with you now.

Many years ago, one of my sisters was suicidal. I come from a big family, and I'm actually child number 8 out of 9. While all of my other siblings were running about frantically trying to encourage our sister who was suicidal, God was heavily impressing upon me to basically rebuke her, and, of course, I didn't want to, thinking that she would kill herself if I did. In all honesty, it was as if God wrestled with me (and it was no contest...believe me) for 8 straight days until I finally went and told my sister what he was instructing me to tell her.

From the time that she was but a child, my sister was extremely selfish. I knew it, and all of my other siblings knew it as well. God told me to go tell her the following:

You've been selfish your entire life, and now you're wallowing in self-pity. If you don't repent of the same, then the self-pity will end in self-destruction or suicide.

Well, I told her the same...and she threw me out of her house.

To make a long story short, that was close to 30 years ago, and my sister is still alive.

In fact, she's married with two children.

Like I said earlier, different people struggle with things like depression and/or thoughts of suicide for different reasons, but I felt that God wanted me to share this with you, so I did.

God's grace is sufficient for you if you'll turn your life over to him fully.

Of this, I'm sure.

I'll be praying for you.

I saw someone say once "Life is hard, even Jesus wept."

John 11:35
Jesus wept.

It's tough sometimes, but Jesus gets it! He's been here and done it all. He overcame the world. You can approach the throne of grace now. You have access to God's grace.

Hebrews 4:15-16
15For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin.
16Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.

Thanks everyone.... i probably won't do anything. And although i really don't care if i die or not, i'm too afraid of going to hell if i do so i won't do anything. It just sucks really to see the girl of my dreams (who doesn't know me and is like 10 years older than me, don't judge me) go out with some firefighter (i think that's what he is) and be taken just like that. I'm only 19 years old but the irritation i get because i cant have her is noticeable. Maybe it's my fault for lusting after her for these 3 or 4 years, maybe i deserve this for being attracted to a girl who's almost 30 years old (is it wrong to be attracted to someone older ?). All i know is that it sucks to waste 3-4 years of my life chasing after someone who i had no chance of getting.

Being shy hurt me a lot as well bro.And the reason I was shy was my earthy father never had anything good to say about me. Things like "You know you will never amount to anything" I pitched a 3 hitter in minor league baseball, know what my old man said? Why did they hit the ball at all off of you? Later on at age 22 when the Good Lord found me in College in a mop closet I was able to forgive, and Holy Spirit showed me something to always think about myself,so I could look at others the very same way bro!!( Philippians 4:4-9)

The reason my dad did what he did,was because the World can be so cruel, and he was looking to harden me against it.And the real reason my earthly dad did what he did was!!!!!!!!! FEAR!!!!! The believers worst enemy!! And the Lord taught me( 2 Tim 1:7!!!) We are what we are by the grace of God brother,( 1 Cor 15:10) If people do not wish to take you as you are, then it is there loss, never your loss!! Don't ever make it your loss, because that is excatly what they want!!

No one wants to drown in the mud by themselves!!! They want someone in there with them! Find a good body of Christ brother,we all need support, but find like minded people within that body that you both can relate to.This helped me greatly bro! Holy Spirit taught me about love, and the very first person to love is ME!!!!! The Lord said!! because ( Proverbs 8:17)

And those you do love you always seek!! As I followed in this brother I found a love that will never condemn me,he will never say to you,you are not worth my time, and he will never ever push you aside!! After 2 years of staying in God's Word and doing my working part in the Church body, as there is no perfect Church bro,for the body of Christ is not the building, but rather all of us! The Lord rewarded me with a lovely lady in my life,I did not marry, but I was able to love others as Jesus loved each of us,and that I never did before either! You have so much to live for brother!! The enemy wants to take all those who look to the Lord for comfort that is his nature bro.( John 10:10) and (John 8:44) Once you find out how the enemy moves and works you can through our Lord Jesus defeat him on any time and anywhere!!!!( Luke 10:19-20) but we must first learn what that authority is and how to use his authority!!! Example please look at Matt 4 Jesus himself used his own word!!! So it is with us bro!!! hang in there bro,we love ya!!!

Hey, I'm sorry you're going through such a rough time. Please believe me when I say that suicide will not fix anything. I've been there. I've had friends/family who have been there. I'm not going to say "trust God and your life will be amazing" because that isn't what real life is. But please embrace whatever spark of hope that you can find. You're gonna get through this. The depression and pain will end. Please do not give up.
Praying for you, brother.

Why do you think you are going to hell?
Because i don't know if God would approve of suicide, and so there's a chance i might go to hell if i do.

RaceBoy, the worst thing you can do as a young man is to put women on a pedestal and worship them. It will do nothing but bring problems and strife to your life. I know it's hard now, but what you seem to be experiencing is similar to what I call "oneitis."

At 19 I wish I would have gone to the gym regularly in addition to attending school, church, and studying scripture. Your physical fitness and personal presentation are some of the most important things you can do for yourself as a young man looking to attract a woman. As much as you likely have been taught by gynocentric pastors, the reality is women and men both want to be with people they find attractive. Pining over a female puts you in a submissive and non-masculine light.

A good resource: https://deepstrength.wordpress.com/

You ask if there is danger in being attracted to someone with what is an unusual age gap.

What you have in this case man, is someone that has been, and will continue to be in a very different life stage than what you are. At 29, she's through college, likely beginning to become established in a career, and seems to be interested in meeting someone, and perhaps marriage and starting a family.

Respectfully, you're not there yet. And you shouldn't be. At 19, you need to be focused on getting through college or a great trade school, establishing yourself, and building a career. You need to keep yourself in shape spiritually, physically, and mentally as well. Great women are attracted to men that are aggressively chasing goals. They want to be a part of a great guys life. But let me tell you something that if you learn ANYTHING about women.... let it be this. If you make them your WHOLE WORLD, they're going to run for the hills faster than you can blink. Treat them with honor and respect. But do not treat them as if they are the reason for your existence. It's a massive turn off.

If you have instagram, look up my buddy Moses who runs Biblical Masculinity. He's a great young guy with some great advice.
