Please feel free to post your favorite "catchphrases." And sometimes you wonder what they mean by it. I'll begin. There are many.

God's got this.

Just run to God.

God works in mysterious ways.

Not my favorite, but one that has been around awhile and is false.

"Faith without works "

" endure to the end to be saved "

"work out your salvation "

More like verses taken out of context but I hear them spoken like catch phrases .

" chosen before the foundation "

" No one can come to the father...."

Here’s one for all circumstances, “Gods in control.” You’re pretty safe with this one.

"God helps those who help themselves."

Kind of takes away from our dependence upon God as being, 'the Lord my helper'

"God's just waiting for you to act"

(As if He needs our permission or prompting to do anything)

God Awful
I really hate this one.

Originally, awful had the meaning of awe-inspiring. We use "awesome" now.
So yes God is great and awful in the sense he is great and awesome.
But people use it to describe something they think is appalling in a big way.

I don't like God's reputation being attached to the word in that respect.

If you feel far from God, guess who moved?

God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
