Was her post about country flags? 🤔 Lol my English comprehension is not good sorry for asking. I thought the first comment was about the warning signs...
The first comment was in fact about warning signs. Lanolin likes to focus on one obscure phrase and make a whole tangent out of it. It can be entertaining.

Dating a non-Christian and continue to date him by bringing him to church. (Worst advice ever)

Yeah, "Flirt to convert" usually doesn't work too well.

Before I got saved, I was given advice to date two people at the same time right after getting out of a relationship...what a hot mess that was 🤦‍♀️ lol and I'll never do it again 🙅‍♀️! Hearts are not footballs and shouldn't be thrown around everywhere.

We were all Philistines before we got saved. Thank God for His grace and blessings MsFlowers :giggle:

I never did the "two dating" thing but :whistle: I was doing other things not worth mentioning.

Yikes, I think I will have a cup of coffee now... maybe two :coffee::coffee:

University was a strange time for me. The dating advice I received there was something I had to repent of. It is shocking how uninformed the young people are. Even more shocking that they must have received that advice from somewhere. I can only assume at home because those days the internet was not as active as today, but that in itself create a crisis because how can a dad (in his right mind) teach his son that?

Dont sleep with anyone

I interpreted this to mean dont fall asleep. Unfortunately I did take a nap once in the park. My date watched me fall asleep. Since I am prone to falling asleep like, every night, and even during the day taking catnaps and sometimes when watching movies Im thought well what can I do, I actually have to be awake the whole time?!
what if the date is really boring, or Im feeling tired?

Yes,don't sleep/fall asleep 😊

The best thing you can do is agree only to meet your date when you are not tired....it is really not nice to fall asleep when you are with someone no matter how boring your date is...and besides think for your safety also because what if your date will get upset and leave you while you are sleeping? 😊

I don't know if this is funny or a worse advice lol 😅 but when I was growing up I heard people saying this "pag bigotilyo babaero" the meaning in English is a man with moustache is a ladies man so don't date one 😅 so, I really avoided men with moustache when I was in my 20's lol

Hahaha, right there with you! lol, in all honestly with past experience-although I know that I am forgiven by God's grace (so thankful:)), I would rather have a date during the day then a date during the night anytime lol. I feel like going places at night can be risky. It removes temptation at least for me (cutting off the arm as Jesus said ;)). Just because someone seems like a good ol fashioned christian man or woman doesn't mean they have your best interest at heart or have the desire to lead you towards purity. Just sayin since I've been there:giggle:.

LOL... Worst and Funniest...
19 year old brother (I was 14)... basically said something to the effect that "if you don't use it - it will eventually fall off." hahahaha...

Luckily I was old enough to know better (biological science wise), so knew it was intended as a stupid joke that he picked up and dared to repeat with his younger juvenile aged brother... which made it all the more funny...

My dad said - daughter when you were 18 - you could use the Bible verse that says many will be called but few would be chosen
But now at 40’s you can use the verse all
those who come to
Me Will not be thrown away ( rejected)
Worse advice ( joke ) he always says that to me “ meaning about my single life
sorry sometimes my English is not good to explain things lol

But The best is from God that says
“But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him"—”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I am looking forward to your comments!
Please, share it below, peeps👇🏼

Thanks❤🤗
One guy I used to sometimes hang out with... I call him our "Kramer", if you're familiar with the TV show Seinfeld, and he gave this dating advice:

When you're with a girl in a car, you make a move to kiss her. If she resists, you force her.

Yep, you read that correctly.

Some people told me to just have a child...doesn't matter who is the father lol as long as they can give me a child...because they say it is hard to get old without children and alone 😮
Great reason to have... kids????

And, speaking as someone who grew up without a father, I can tell you that that is brain-dead advice.

No... do it the old-fashioned way, as much as it is in your power.

Oh... one of my favorite bits of dating advice: You got to get out there.

Uhhh... in this conversation, I usually am "outside". I'm out. I'm in the fresh air. I'm congregating with others. So what does this exactly mean??

Such clueless, simplistic advice.
