This is a plea for Christians to get involved in their local government: You may recall the story of the Willis' who were driving their minivan to a birthday and a truck driven by a man who could not read or speak English, and who had been warned by another truck driver repeatedly that a piece of his truck was about to fall off - but the warning went unheeded.
A fellow truck driver said that he attempted to call the driver on CB but he didn't answer. He then drove up beside him and pointed to the back of his truck. He said the man just looked at him and looked away. Minutes later a chunk of his truck fell off. The minivan the pastor and his family were in drove over it and it exploded their gas tank. Six children died.
They hired a lawyer who learned the Republican mayor was taking donations from the truck driving schools that routinely pushed aliens who could not speak or read English to get their licenses.
As America slides further into the morass of immorality I ask everyone to get involved in their local government. For too long Christians have sat passively back and done everything else but ensured that our government is honest.
