I'm a bit new to poetry, and I know I have a lot of growing to do. Inspiration for this one came a few months ago when I was facing a dire trial. Even though I had great fear at first, he still comforted my soul through the trial.
Trembling by day,
Salvation by night.
He has given me words to say,
And put an end to my fright.
Rejoice, O, my heart!
Goliath has been brought down!
He has recovered every lost part,
And he will forever rescue you from the frown.
Praise the Lord!
He has had mercy,
Abounding and by His own accord.
Will He now curse me?
Of course not!
He will deliver through,
And wash clean every blot.
Trust, and He will make you new!
Trembling by day,
Salvation by night.
He has given me words to say,
And put an end to my fright.
Rejoice, O, my heart!
Goliath has been brought down!
He has recovered every lost part,
And he will forever rescue you from the frown.
Praise the Lord!
He has had mercy,
Abounding and by His own accord.
Will He now curse me?
Of course not!
He will deliver through,
And wash clean every blot.
Trust, and He will make you new!
