My mother recently went into the hospital due to a somewhat serious condition which the Lord quite literally knows more about than anyone else does right now. The doctors are still checking her out to see what exactly is causing her problems. She did not go to the hospital with COVID-19, which I believe we both can count as a blessing. However, the hospital did tell me that with the rise in the number of COVID cases, I can not go and visit my mother in the hospital. My mother is older. There has been the suggestion that there may be the need for surgery, which her chances of surviving unaffected would be low.
This is a cause of genuine concern for both my mother and myself. We both live on fixed incomes as roommates so that neither of us ends up homeless living out on the street. I am disabled. There are problems within our family which mean we would be left in a bad way if she was left significantly impaired due to a life saving surgery or if she died, then I would be left in a really bad situation. Would you please pray for my mother, that when they do find whatever is wrong and do whatever they have to do in order to fix things, that she would be alright?
