Hello fellow believer, please pray that God forgive me and comforts me and fills me the Holy spirited. I have fallen to isolation and drugs not long ago and I am in a dreadful state of fear and sorrow. I hope to have my faith restored and my communion with God as well. I had fallen to do things not of God that put me on a downward spiral. And it is a horrible thing to lose your only and true hope. Stay away from drugs especially the kind that make you see things because the only thing that is true is God the Father, son and Holy Spirit. I feel impending doom and anxiety and I hope that God may give me peace if He wills because I do believe you in Him. May God bless you and will pray for you as well

Hello @Dallas1991, I wanted to let you know that I am praying for you.

Also, have you called your pastor to talk to him about all that you are struggling with right now? (that's what I always do whenever I feel like life is throwing more at me that I am able to handle) The Lord has tasked our pastors with keeping a close watch over our souls in this life, and they are typically great at giving us godly counsel/advice (and he'll know how to pray for you in a more specific manner too) .. e.g. Hebrews 13:17.

Finally, I see that you are new here, so welcome to CChat :)

God bless you! (Isaiah 40:31, 41:10)

Thank you David, I went to a church this morning where I am not Yet a member at and cried my eyes out. My only Hope is in our creator. I began to read the word in 2014 after my motorcycle accident that I almost died on the first blood moon on Passover and though it was Gods providence that I was still alive. While recovering I began to read the Old Testament. One day while I was in front of my house talking to a friend about the Bible with a back brace on from my motorcycle accident I had a couple stop in front of my house in there car and told me my house was on fire. It ended up burning down. After being in a motel for about five months then in a rental property with my parent I feel like a burden and moved to my sisters in Iowa. There I worked a second shift Job and lived in her basement feeling desperately lonely and not right with God. I first prayed that I could know if He was hearing my prayers and in the middle of my prayer silently I got a message on my phone saying I love you, I’ve always loved you. How long will I need to wait on you. This is Jesus. Paraphrasing a little because I don’t remember the exact message but it was something like that. Then I ask for woman to help me get close to him a day or so later I had a woman randomly add me on Facebook. I guess she was a friend with my aunt and we ended up reading the whole New Testament over the phone. I thought this was providential and thought she was the one. I went out a week to visit her in person after talking to her for about eight months on the phone and in person when I met her I proposed to her. After having two children our marriage began to break down. Because I was immature and she was bitter because of her last marriage and didn’t have patience with me. Also I would look at porn not often but when it happen life got crazy and she ended up kicking me out. While I was kicked out I stayed in a homeless shelter for a year. I continue to be faithful and try to work it out with her. Then I got put into emergency housing by the VA and after a year of living there she file divorce paper work. After about the third time in court was when I became unfaithful physically and then she did the same in response. We try to work it out after but it didn’t happen and then we divorced. She ended up remarrying and getting pregnant about 4 to 5 months after my divorce. This broke me inside. My life began to spiral downward. I pleaded with God the father, Jesus, Holy Spirit to forgive me and to show me his face. I kept hoping he would show me himself in my dreams or a vision. I just wanted to be comforted by him because I was very isolated at this time. Then I got deceived by Joe Rogan and the psychedelic community and saw things I wish I never have. After this I ended up repenting multiple times but kept falling to the same thing until eventually I stopped fully once I cut those individuals out of my life. I went to my church friends and told him what I did and he comfirted me but I was still yet far away in my heart because I felt so unworthy of God goodness. After covid I went back to my old church but it was awkward because of what I went through with my divorce. So I went to a new Church in Exeter NH today and balled my eyes out. I feel utterly broken. The only reason I feel I have made it this far is because of my faith in God and my children. But social media has been causing me extreme anxiety and television is now doing the same and I don’t know what to do. I want to give God glory, but I don’t know how I should go about that. I want to obey him. I want him to know I love him. I need more believers in my life. I wish there were communes with Christians like the first church’s. Because I need a ton of compassion and I desire to give the same.

I felt so unworthy of God goodness.
We all are! By His goodness and grace He chose to save us through faith in the shed righteous blood of His Son.

I feel utterly broken. The only reason I feel I have made it this far is because of my faith in God and my children. But social media has been causing me extreme anxiety and television is now doing the same and I don’t know what to do. I want to give God glory, but I don’t know how I should go about that.
How you go about that is by counting your blessings and thanking God for them. I realize it is sometimes easier said than done, especially when our life circumstances take up so much space in our minds, trying to figure things out and fix everything.

Hi Dallas91,
GRACE TO YOU, and PEACE from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Firstly, you've taken the right step in reaching out. May the Lord respond to you in a powerful way and break the chains of addiction in your life.
I have witnessed the devastation that drugs can bring to someone's life, but the POWER OF GOD is greater than the addiction to drugs!!

There was a woman who was struggling with an "issue" for 12 years. No one could help her and it left her an isolated wretch. But then she heard about Jesus. She determined in her heart that if she could just reach out and even touch the corner of His garment, there would be healing for her.

My prayer for you is that just as you have reached out, that the power of God would be released in your life to deal with your issue. Keep putting your trust in Jesus. He is willing to heal... and He is willing to forgive... He is as real to us now as He was back then; just waiting for us to reach out. He will meet you... His invitation is to "whosoever would believe..."

It sounds like you've lived quite a life. Thank you for sharing your brokenness with us. It is when we can walk in the light of the truth about ourselves that God can heal us. Jesus went to the cross naked and God covered Him with His Glory. In sharing the raw reality of your life, you have identified with Jesus on the Cross, and may the POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION be released in your life. I ask that in Jesus' Name. He hears your heart, Dallas, and He WILL respond.

Hello Dallas1991, and welcome to CC. While reading your post, the following scriptures came to my mind:
1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Jude 1:24
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
1 Corinthians 10:13
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Claim these promises and believe you are cleanse. God bless you

"Please don't be offended...having read through your words, I do care about anyone that struggles
in life...( be assured, I have been there ) and, I know of the fear of hitting bottom...believe it!
God found me over two decades ago, I am grateful, as my life has forever been changed.
Many lives have crossed my path, and how I have been allowed a second chance, I have shared
and been in touch with many that are going through the malady of endless problems.
I have learned and know well, my past problems were caused by one problem...myself!
And, since God has become an important part of my life, I have learned to earnestly strive to
fix myself, by earnestly striving to act upon and apply God's 'principles' of life, in my own life.
With this said, as stated in my first words...I would suggest taking a hard and honest approach to
these following words!..................

( * And, there are those who are unwilling to change, and be willing to surrender.
Most often, those who are constitutionally incapable of being honest with themselves.
There are such unfortunates, not being at fault, as they seem to have been born
with the inability of grasping and developing a manner of living which demands
rigorous honesty and self discipline, and, chances of learning a spiritual well being
are unlikely. There are those, too, who suffer from grave emotional and mental
disorders. Though having the capacity to be honest, one may still learn of the

meaning of a spiritual well being, within ones own self. )

(*) "These are powerful words out of a Twelve Step program, and they stand without dispute."
You will get endless advise/ suggestions...I hope you find what is needed in your life.
I decided long ago, surrender my ways, change myself the best I know how, by acting upon God's prescription...
and it works, so long as I work at it...each day!"
Thank God!

It is impossible for us, of ourselves, to escape from the pit of sin in which we are sunken. Our hearts are evil, and we cannot change them. “Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.” “The carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” Job 14:4; Romans 8:7. Education, culture, the exercise of the will, human effort, all have their proper sphere, but here they are powerless. They may produce an outward correctness of behavior, but they cannot change the heart; they cannot purify the springs of life. There must be a power working from within, a new life from above, before men can be changed from sin to holiness. That power is Christ. His grace alone can quicken the lifeless faculties of the soul, and attract it to God, to holiness. The Saviour said, “Except a man be born from above,” unless he shall receive a new heart, new desires, purposes, and motives, leading to a new life, “he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3, margin.

Paul the apostle saw all this when he exclaimed, “I consent unto the law that it is good.” “The law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.” But he added, in the bitterness of his soul-anguish and despair, “I am carnal, sold under sin.” Romans 7:16, 12, 14. He longed for the purity, the righteousness, to which in himself he was powerless to attain, and cried out, “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from this body of death?” Romans 7:24, margin. Such is the cry that has gone up from burdened hearts in all lands and in all ages. To all, there is but one answer, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29.

Many are inquiring, “How am I to make the surrender of myself to God?” You desire to give yourself to Him, but you are weak in moral power, in slavery to doubt, and controlled by the habits of your life of sin. Your promises and resolutions are like ropes of sand. You cannot control your thoughts, your impulses, your affections. The knowledge of your broken promises and forfeited pledges weakens your confidence in your own sincerity, and causes you to feel that God cannot accept you; but you need not despair. What you need to understand is the true force of the will. This is the governing power in the nature of man, the power of decision, or of choice. Everything depends on the right action of the will. The power of choice God has given to men; it is theirs to exercise. You cannot change your heart, you cannot of yourself give to God its affections; but you can choose to serve Him. You can give Him your will; He will then work in you to will and to do according to His good pleasure. Thus your whole nature will be brought under the control of the Spirit of Christ; your affections will be centered upon Him, your thoughts will be in harmony with Him. Desires for goodness and holiness are right as far as they go; but if you stop here, they will avail nothing. Many will be lost while hoping and desiring to be Christians. They do not come to the point of yielding the will to God. They do not now choose to be Christians. Through the right exercise of the will, an entire change may be made in your life. By yielding up your will to Christ, you ally yourself with the power that is above all principalities and powers. You will have strength from above to hold you steadfast, and thus through constant surrender to God you will be enabled to live the new life, even the life of faith.

Welcome and Happy New Year! The greatest thing is that God is for us.
You said 'cause the only thing that is true is God the Father, son and Holy Spirit. I feel impending doom and anxiety and I hope that God may give me peace if He wills'.
Since you believe that God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit are true, then what they represent must follow. Jesus said to 'cast our cares upon Him and be anxious for nothing'...that requires total trust. Also, Jesus said 'He gives us a peace that passes our understanding' and H is the Prince of Peace. So we are covered on both accounts, PTL:) God bless you!

It makes me feel happy to read all of your messages and to know that I am being heard. I know the Holy Spirit of Christ dwells within you and I thank you for your prayers and encouragement. I was dreadfully fearful for the past few days but I am slowly starting to feel more hope and peace within me. I live in Haverhill Massachusetts to give you and Idea of my location and I am not from here. I am trying a new yearly plan to read the Bible within a year. It is also my hope to spread the Gospel of peace in the love of Christ in his gospel and through my testimony one day. I hope one day all of us believers can begin to learn that we need each other more then ever and begin to live like the first churches lived in a community maintained by each other giving to each other freely whatever each of us need. I believe that is what heaven is like and it would be nice to see a little of that on earth before we go. Anyways thank you all for your prayers, hopes and encouragement. It has been bread to my soul and it doesn’t feel as weak as it did recently. But I still plan to be vigilant for the enemy because I know he prowls like a lion waiting to strike when we least expect it.

You have not lost your hope. Jesus will not turn away anyone who comes to Him -John 6:37.

Stay away from drugs especially the kind that make you see things because the only thing that is true is God the Father, son and Holy Spirit
Amen! You are on your way to recovery.

You can talk to God at any time. Psalm 34:18 The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

When we mess up, its so easy to think that God has turned His back on us. But that is not true because He says He will never leave us or forsake us, and He promises that when we confess our sins, He will forgive us.

Godly grief is good, because it shows that we are bothered about our sins. And it is there as a reminder that we should not go against the will of God because our errors will make our lives bitter. But in these times we have to go to God for strength, we should not let our feelings of condemnation keep us away from God.

So i just want to encourage you to draw close to God and He will draw close to you -James 4:8.

But social media has been causing me extreme anxiety and television is now doing the same and I don’t know what to do.
Stay away from social media and limit time spent watching TV. I would suggest listening to worship music. It lifts the spirit. And when you cant find the words to pray, you just sing and focus your mind on Him and the words of the songs.
I kept hoping he would show me himself in my dreams or a vision.
You have to be careful about these kind of things because Satan has deceived many. God does intervene in the lives of His children, but be careful of sign and wonders.

God knew we all needed a lot of help. We all begin in the same sinking boat. The details may be different, but we all need to do the same thing. None of us can save ourselves. Let go and let God. He loved us so much that He let His very own dear precious Son come down and take our sins to the cross so we could be cleansed in His blood. From then on, do your best as let Him take it from there. God bless you and welcome to CC.

1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
