Well New Year starts here fairly soon. New cases of new type of covid here so everyone seems to be taking New Yew quietly this year. Lets see what is in store for 2021. Happy New Year to the coffee drinkers and donut eaters on this thread.

Lol, I had a black cat too. Her name was Ruby. I tried posting her pic on here but it says it is too big for this file or something like that. I have tried playing around with it but gave up lol. She was a black cat with greenish eyes and a bit of attitude.
Happy New Year Zero, may you have a blessed year in every way and may there be plenty of coffee and donuts :D

WARNING: RANT TO FOLLOW

Talking to you guys here in the US. Have you noticed all the TV Commercials for various First Responder Groups asking for donations for the First Responders? Man, I see one about two or three times an hour. Now, to be sure, I fully support our First Responders, and am fully aware of the job they do and the danger involved.

BUT, they all are getting paid for working, and many of them receive additional pay under the Hazardous Pay thingy above their normal pay. Why do we need to donate to pay them more?

Why the rant? There are millions of Americans who lost their jobs, and are losing homes and cars and such because they can not pay their bills. As well, there are millions of Americans who have, FROM DAY 1, reported to work and have worked through the Pandemic just like the First Responders. They are not receiving Hazardous pay, NOR are there any National Drives to establish a Fund for people to donate to.

IMO, all peoples who have worked through all of this are hero's just like the First Responders. Shoot! Anyone set up a Fund for Ole Dan? Look what he has had to work through...........seriously........

ok, rant over..........return to your coffee and danish

A lot of New Years resolutions deal with losing weight. Most fail miserably.... :) Maybe those who make such a resolution should rethink the whole thing?

Happy New Year Ruby and friends!

Ruby, if you go to postimages.org, you can resize your image file when
you upload it. 640 pixels is a norm, but sometimes 320 is enough ;)

I have been using postimages for a few years now. tinypiic has gone
the way of the dodo, and they are directing people to photobucket
now, but I would not recommend them at all. Postimages does not
require registration, and they will not delete your images, though
they give you the option to if you so desire. When I upload now,
I have started saving the url address where all the codes are given.
You can also upload/resize images directly from other online sources.
To post here, choose the direct link code from the 2nd line of code :)

Here's to many wonderful and tasty cups of coffee in the new year!

PS~ I had a black cat many years ago also :) I named her Casper :D

“Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.”

Psalms 4:5 (KJV)

I wondered about "the sacrifices of righteousness," and what they were. Doing a "search", this is some of what I found.

5 Sacrifices Of Righteousness That Prove You Trust The Lord

1 - Meditate In The Word
Get a grip on your ungodly thoughts and change your mood to one that pleases God by meditating in the word of God.
Then use the faith you develop to fight off fear and distress when you need to.

2 - Pray The Word Back
Cultivate your faith by speaking the word of God against or for situations to defeat wickedness and to bless others as well as get blessings from the Lord.

Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible

(excerpt)

Moreover, righteousness, with the Jews, signifies alms, beneficence, showing mercy to the indigent; and acts of liberality are sacrifices, with which God is well pleased; and which are preferred by him to the sacrifices of the ceremonial law, Hebrews 13:16. The sacrifices also of a broken heart, and of a contrite spirit, are such as God esteems of; he looks to those that have them, and dwells with them. And to this sense the Chaldee paraphrase inclines, in which the words are thus paraphrased;

"subdue your corruptions, and it shall be reckoned to you as a sacrifice of righteousness?''
