Genuine believers don’t permanently fall away or seek to be justified by the law. Who do you think you’re fooling?
Your justified by faith and saved by the confession of your mouth and true believers don't attack peoples views just because they don't line up with theirs. Like poor bud I seen yall picking on just cause he didn't believe what you do that's why I put you hypocrites in your place.

We are justified by faith in Christ and not by the law. Period. Confession with our mouth and belief in our heart are not two separate steps to salvation but are chronologically together. (Romans 10:8-10) Attacking peoples views is a 2 Way Street. Bud was trying to force a perverted gospel on us and we’re not buying it. You have put no one in their place and it’s those pervert the gospel that are hypocrites.

And the falling away from truth is to blame.

Believers “keep” (Greek word “tereo”) guard, observe, watch over) His commandments (1 John 5:2-3) in the New Testament and are not under the law under the old covenant.

I agree that the Sabbath was never changed. I also know full well that Christians met on the first day of the week. I don't care what the Catholic Church said about it, they were always making things up. Christians met on the first day of the week with no intention of calling it the sabbath.

If you want to observe the sabbath do it. But don't lie and say Christians did not meet on the first day of the week in the first century. This will annoy you but the truth is that Christians did not want to meet on the sabbath because they did not want their meeting to be associated with the Law of Moses. So you go ahead and keep the Law of the sabbath but don't judge those who do not keep the law of sabbath and meet on Sunday as a day of Christian fellowship. Those in church history who started calling Sunday the new sabbath were wrong. It is like saying Christianity is the new Law of Moses. It is not and was never intended to be. Sunday does not need to be a sabbath. People have been confused by the Catholics and bad hermeneutics for centuries.
Brother, there is no explaining to these day worshipers. All the scriptures have been presented even Romans 14 has been presented. They are hung up on the pharisaic tradition, and there is no budging them. The only reason to refute their obstinate pontificating about Saturday is to keep neophytes from becoming burdened by them.

Acts 13:44-49
On the following Sabbath
, nearly the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. 45 But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and they blasphemously contradicted what Paul was saying.

46 Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “It was necessary to speak the word of God to you first. But since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles. 47 For this is what the Lord has commanded us:

‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,

to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

48 When the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and glorified the word of the Lord, and all who were appointed for eternal life believed. 49
And the word of the Lord spread throughout that region

Nearly the whole city (Jew and Gentile) gathered at synagogue on sabbath to hear the Word, and then the gospel spoken by Paul.

Acts 14:1-2
At Iconium, Paul and Barnabas went as usual into the Jewish synagogue, where they spoke so well that a great number of Jews and Greeks believed. 2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers.

So at another synagogue both Jew and Gentile gathered as was the custom. The custom was to read from the Law every sabbath, followed by a word from a speaker. The speaker in Acts 14 was Paul. The message was the gospel.

Paul feared for such people :geek:

Now that you know God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you are turning back to those weak and worthless principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! I fear for you, that my efforts for you may have been in vain. Galatians 4:9-11

Acts 14:26-27
26 From Attalia they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work they had just completed. 27 When they arrived, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them, and how He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles

In Antioch, Paul and crew gathered together *the church* to report how gentiles were now part of the faith. So the Messiah's NT church was originally Jew-ish (i.e. of the Jews; run by Jews) and gentiles were let in.

Gentiles were always allowed in

it was nothing new

what was new was that the gospel was being preached that faith was the way not the law

This is how Paul evangelized. He did this everywhere he went. And then as converts were made they established a church that met on the first day of the week.
Often Paul was banned from the synagogue once the Jewish leaders stirred up the people against him but by that time he had made converts who became the first members of the local church which would then meet on the first day of the week.

When the first church council was held in Jerusalem to discuss the controversy over some who were trying to put circumcision on the gentile converts, they made this statement in their findings... "19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. 21For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. " And by making this statement it is clear that if they wanted to adhere to circumcision and things like sabbath keeping, they could go to synagogues and hear it preached,.. But the church of God was not about that and would not be required to do such things and these were meeting on the first of the week not on the sabbath. He was saying, they could go there if they wanted to hear that preached.

Another interesting thing about Paul's method of evangelism (even though he said he was called to the gentiles) was that he went to the religious Jews to preach his message. He went to where there was an audience that at first were interested in what he was talking about. I used to think he was a street preacher but that the pattern he followed was going to the people who were interested in the conversation. Even the meeting by the river was a group of women who met their to pray because there was no synagogue. And yet they gave audience because they were interested in the things Paul was talking about.

Even the meeting at Mars Hill to preach to the Greek philosophers he was invited to.

I am not saying that street preaching to a hostile or uninterested crowd is not great thing to do, I am just saying that it is not correct to paint that image of what Paul did when preaching about Acts.

Acts 15:3-4
3 And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren. 4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them

Here, the church is distinguished from the gentiles...unlike today where the church is distinguished from the Jews. The original NT church was Jew-ish (i.e. of the Jews).

Acts 15:18-21
18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. 19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. 21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day

The elders' decision was to only require gentiles to abstain from sexual immorality, unclean meats, and sacrifice to idols as personal burdens because the law was preached to the gentiles every sabbath day.

Acts 16:11-13
11 Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis; 12 And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days. 13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

On another sabbath, Paul and crew went out of the city to a prayer location where women gathered, to preach to them...and also baptized.

Acts 17:1-4
Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: 2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, 3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.

4 And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few
.

On 3 sabbath days, Paul went to the synagogue to preach the Messiah, and there were Jews, a great multitude of gentiles, and women there.

Note: Paul went to where the law was taught to preach the gospel, because the law leads to Christ. So far, the gentiles who heard the gospel from Paul were those who went to synagogue on sabbath.

Just because someone may not agree with your views does not necessarily equate with an attack of your views. Truthfully, as human beings, we are all hypocrites to one degree or another because we have yet been perfected. Really, no need to attack others because of their own perceptions.

Acts 17:10-12
And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few
.

In Thessalonica, some jealous Jews caused an uproar leading to Paul fleeing to Berea. This is the same Thessalonica where Paul sent his letters...

1 Thessalonians 1
Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Again, Paul visited the synagogue in Thessalonica, where there were many gentiles, women and Jews who believed the gospel.

He goes to Berea to ANOTHER synagogue, where there are many gentiles in attendance who believe the gospel too.
