The question had nothing to do with my post. It was a bait question.

Do you sin?

If or when you sin are you forced to or do it or do you chose to?
And why do you ask questions to others and expect answers when you dodge their questions?

We both sin..

The question is if we love our unrightiousness or if we believe in the love of the truth.

Do you believe in salvation by having your sins atoned for by the sacrafice the LORD Jesus went through on the cross? Or do you believe one must cease sinning to obtain entery into Gods eternal Kingdom?

I wonder if you will keep dodging questions???? Lets see..

Well firstly He is God and so is not under the commands He had to issue to sinful man. He chose to put himself in the bodily form of a Hebrew under the law. He was tempted as a human, I am sure his body had natural urges and desires that affected him, but as we tend to speak and act from the overflow of our hearts Jesus had no reason to do things that meant less to Him than doing the will of His Father. He was under such pressure to avoid His Fathers will when it came to the cross, that He sweat drops of blood In his efforts to stay the course. In theory He as a human could have given in to the flesh just as Adam and Eve has the choice to as pure human beings not born of sin. If there was no battle there would have been no victory. :)
So you regard him as the same as Adam, alright then.

Maybe best to just do our best to give our views on the topic and just leave others to do the same. Live at peace where possible 🌻

No He is the word of God made flesh... not formed from the dust as Adam
Was. However the bible calls him The second Adam for a reason - the reason I have explained previously. It is Always better use people’s words in their context than out of it.

1 cor 15
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

But you are saying Jesus could have given in to the temptation and sin correct, when you said "In theory He as a human could have given in to the flesh just as Adam and Eve has the choice to as pure human beings not born of sin. If there was no battle there would have been no victory. :) ?

I am saying he clearly had a hard time in the garden as a human being but did what was necessary to resist the natural urge to forgo the pain of the cross. He was tempted in all ways like as we but yet without sin. If we are tempted we have a choice do we not? So in theory possible for that reason, but because He was one with the father that made it impossible in the sense there was no compulsion within him to obey his flesh, in that there was nothing in him that wanted to act out fleshly impulses that displeased God.

Satan could find no place in him, as Christ said himself.

Hebrews 5

7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

So your answer is actually no, that Jesus is impeccable correct?

I agree with you there. There is no flesh nature in Jesus that temptation could actually work on him.

It was still a choice He made. The question was is sin a Choice. Not to be disrespect to our Lord but - Jesus still faced that same choice. He didn’t say oh now what’s on the schedule .. oh yes meal with mates and then get whipped and spat on and stuff. Ok is that it, Brill. He didn’t waltz up to the cross and not
Worry about going through with death, it wasn’t like he was super human and didn’t feel a thing. He didn’t sit down in the garden and say praise the Lord I can’t wait for tomorrow, can we get on with the crucifixion now please. It’s going to be my delight to do this God. I have nothing else I would rather do.

No He chose to remain in Gods will though it was a harder decision than any of us have ever made. It was a choice. God had to send angels to help Jesus at that moment to get Him through his human fear of what was to come that made Him desire naturally a way out of what God wanted.

That is the point I am trying to make. It was a choice and it is a choice for us too, though we face it with a fallen fleshly body that is accustomed to doing nothing but sinning. That is why we especially need to renew the mind and have the mind of Christ formed in us.

To deny the choice He made erradicates the struggle He faced in the garden. It was a real battle for Him. He even asked His disciples to stay awake and pray with Him. And now He ever intercedes for us as the victor over sin and death :)

I have exhausted this now. I am not at odds with you but I have no better way of explaining what I meant. Mine is one of many views and so let’s leave it there and others can present their replies to the op without us hogging The thread.

I simply sum up my thoughts in this scripture and wish you a lovely week ahead.

He learned obedience by the things He suffered.

I have heard people say for years that Christians HAVE to sin everyday.

Do we not choose to give into temptation when we do?

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV

If God provides a way of escape when we are tempted then we must make a choice to sin.

If we choose to sin, can we not also choose not to?
We can flee from sin to an extent ... choose to pursue Jesus in the face of an option not to but we have two natures and can never be completely sinless.

Believers have the Holy Spirit indwelling their soul. That part never sins, our flesh though is carnal and is never completely pure.

Sin is no longer the issue between God and man, Jesus took care of that. The issue between God and man is whether we believe He took care of it. The focus needs to be on His accomplishment, not our failings.

You are obviously free to understand what I said in any way you choose and to disagree or agree with my words or what you think I mean, or with the scriptures I have quotes or with whatever you like. You are also obviously free to continue this quizzical dialogue but you will have to excuse me for not joining you in it any further. Might chat on another thread with you another time though. Over and out for now :)

I don’t understand why you are unwilling to take a stand on what you actually believe in.

My answer is a clear no. For your case you appear to want to have your cake and to eat it too.

I just figured since you was so eager for me to answer a bait question, you might like to answer it too

The question is if we love our unrightiousness or if we believe in the love of the truth.
Actually if you read it carefully the question was this "when Christians sin, is it a choice or are we forced to sin?"

I wonder if you will keep dodging questions???? Lets see..
Here i go are you ready? I'm going to answer the bait question.

Yes, I have chosen to sin after salvation. I wasn't forced, I was tempted and I chose to give in to the temptation and I sinned.

Thankfully we have:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

To almondjoy The temptation worked because you are still in your flesh. You still have the old man inside you that wants to sin., that was how temptation could get a hold on you.

But once you get a new body, that will be without the flesh and hence temptation would not have a hold on you.

Do you believe you can forfeit salvation?
Forfeit or lose.....NO

Leave......yes.....I made a choice when the Spirit said "come"

I still have that same choice to walk away

Just like the prodigal son did
Just like Ananias and Sapphira did
Just like Judas did

I had the option like everyone else to crucify the flesh with the lusts and affections thereof....BUT I CHOSE not to.....Sin is a choice

Many many many times I have said NO to temptation and resisted the devil.

So do you think you will still face that choice to sin, even after you are raptured and get a new body without the flesh?

Problem with that is when a person is preaching sinlessness in the flesh and that ones salvation is dependent on them achieving a sinless life then just leaving them to believe and preach that to others is to stand by watching them heading to the eternal lake of fire and watch other babes in Christ get deceived and wind up in the same eternal place of damnation..

So ones conscience and love for their fellow human beings forces them to at lest try to oppose such preaching and make an attempt to save if not the preacher then at lest the babes in Christ who are being lead into eternal destruction..
