Nothing except GOD's WILL precedes his grace. Not even the distorted version you have of faith (which YOU DO NOT CONSIDER AS GOD'S GIFT BUT THAT OF YOUR OWN INTELLECTUAL ABILITIES). The gift of faith that follows God's grace, is a childlike belief (requiring no argumentation, or self righteousness) that Jesus / Yeshua died gracefully for the sins of those that belief is like a child.
Grace is not works (Rom. 11:6); works are not grace (Rom. 11:6). God will not justify a man who “works at it” (Rom. 4:5), for by works shall no man be justified (Gal. 3:11). Salvation is not merely a “GIFT” (Eph. 2:8), it is a “free gift” (Rom. 5:15), freely given (Rom. 5:16). This “unspeakable GIFT” (2 Cor. 9:15) cannot be purchased or borrowed, and it certainly cannot be stolen (John 10:1–5). It is a “gift of righteousness” (Rom. 5:17) given by the Holy Ghost (Acts 8:20), and only the man who believes on Christ to the point of RECEIVING HIM (John 1:12) gets the gift. You get no gift without receiving it.

Let's

let's put it in reverse so you may see it .
8For by your own deeds are ye saved through works ; and that not of God : it is the striving and working :
9Not of grace , so any man should boast.
You say grace is the gift of God, faith is not the gift of God.

So if you do not have God-given faith, what faith do you have?

If you say grace is the gift of God, this "And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God" is a redundancy, if it does not refer to the saved person's kind of childlike faith. And then you want to say that faith is or your own doing, but that kind of faith is not a work? Please tell me how a small little child or incapacitated individual arrives at that kind of grace before death, that first requires their non-gifted faith as comprehendible pre-requisite? Faith is the gift of God (as is grace - as per definition of the word).

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,

The Lords prayer is an old testament prayer for the Jews Jesus was responding to . We have a direct personal individual , approach to God as a believer today.
Well, it doesn't look that way to me. The Bible would have made it plain that it wasn't for other believers if it wasn't to be followed by them. I know of other scriptures too in the New Testament, that show that repentance of sins is something that should be done regularly:

Phil 2:12

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
KJV

1 John 1:9-10

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
KJV
Below - see how the church was to discipline a member who was failing to repent of sin (with hope that he'd come to repentance):
2 Thess 3:14-15

14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
KJV
Another verse, addressed to a church:
James 4:8-9

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
KJV

Try it like this . For its not by works you were saved . Wow !!! you mean I don't have to do anything? " no its by grace not of works ' . You mean I don't have to become a Proselyte? No my friend its by grace . It s God's riches at Christ's expense . His expense ? wow. Its really free and no strings ? " yeah man , its free or its no longer grace if its by works. " Awesome how do I recieve ? " Glad you asked , Through faith. Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved .
" I just believe ? no works? no circumcision? Baptism , tithing? My promise to surrender , my commitment? To make Jesus Lord of all ? fasting? charity work? church membership ? helping old ladies across the road ? confessing? standing on my head ?
Wow its a free gift ? this is too good to be true . Surely I have to do something ? " No ,otherwise its no longer grace . Grace and works cannot mix . So no one can boast . Amen .
Agreed partially. When receiving God's FREE GIFT OF GRACE AND FAITH (faith is not a work, it is a gift from God, for those who are saved), we are saved FOR GOOD WORKS PREPARED BY GOD.

Ephesians 2 (ESV)

That faith came from hearing the Gospel.
It is a God-given miracle when the Gospel reach another saved individual, and the end will come when it has been proclaimed to all the nations of the whole world (to where Israel were scattered, after breaking the old covenant) and Israel / the Body of Christ will then be completely renewed under the new covenant.

Matthew 24 (ESV)

12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Salvation can not be lost or gained, it is pre-ordained by God, since the foundation of the world, the names of those who are saved, has been written in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.

Revelation 13 (ESV)

7 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, 8 and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.

Scriptures do not convey a message of pre-tribulation rapture of the Body of Christ nor separating the Body of Christ from restored Israel under King Jesus Christ / Yeshua ha'Mashiach.

Concerning the tribulation, God's elect will not fear, but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. The great tribulation will not be a tribulation at all, for those that are not from God's elect, as they will go on with their lives as they would have taken the mark of the beast. Pre-tribulation rapture is a false hope teaching not founded in scripture. The rapture is at the end of all ages, at the second coming of Yeshua ha'Mashiach / Jesus the Messiah, for his elect people, he will come down from heaven, the dead will be raised, and those that have died in Christ will together with those who are alive in Christ, meet Christ in the sky. Those that will be left behind at the rapture of Yeshua ha'Mashiach's / Jesus the Messiah's second coming, will be destroyed by the fire that will consume what is left of the earth.

Matthew 24 (ESV)

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. 23 Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 So, if they say to you, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out. If they say, 'Look, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. 29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

2 Thessalonians 2 (ESV)

8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

After the great tribulation, this is when the true rapture happens, at the return of Yeshua ha'Mashiach / Jesus the Messiah:

1 Thessalonians 4 (ESV)

15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
Revelation 7 (ESV)

9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen." 13 Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, "Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?" 14 I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 "Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.

I agree with many things you said on this subject, and on the things i can agree with as being accurate according to the scriptures - I can say you expressed well!

One thing I couldn't agree on - was your saying that since it didn't state that David's sin against Bathsheba endangered his salvation. God knew ahead of time that David would repent, and so He was all prepared to forgive Him and did so after David repented. But I know of many others who fell away from God through personal choice - in the scriptures. And also know that the New Testament warns believers against falling away, and explains how to prevent it.

Yes as in many Bible subjects - many true Christians are unable to agree alike. But we all learn more of God's truths with time, if we remain sincere and diligent in living for Him. As always, the Bible is to be trusted above all else.
God has foreknowledge of course. He is Omniscient.
However, would you say in God's foreknowledge that he did forgive David his sin against Bathsheba when he took the life of a baby David had fathered through that sin?
(Nathan speaking to David) 14. "Nonetheless, because you have treated the Lord with such contempt in this matter, the son who has been born to you will certainly die.”
18 On the seventh day the child died.

I think we will disagree that David or a New Testament Christian today is able to lose their salvation. We can backslide, we can fall from the way, we can encounter so many trials that build and build to make us think God is not there and in return lose our faith, and any number of other things that would lead us to question or fall from the faith.
However, as we both agree, God is Omniscient, he has foreknowledge. And as such I believe that God will not lose faith in us.
No one can take us from his hand.

I take that to mean we whom God would foreknow as sincere of heart even when encountering doubt or falling away will remain in his grace. This is why. Because for the reborn person, Christian, to no longer be in God's grace God would have to undo, take back, all that transpired when we first believed. That pertains to the Christian and to David.
God would have to remove his seal, the promised holy spirit, that down payment, the deposit, of our inheritance. He would also have to revoke our baptism and withdraw the holy spirit that entered within us after that. And therein revoke our inheritance. Ephesians 1.

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each one of you be baptized[cb] in the name of Jesus Christ[cc] for[cd] the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.[ce] 39 For the promise[cf] is for you and your children, and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.” 40 With many other words he testified[cg] and exhorted them saying, “Save yourselves from this perverse[ch] generation!” 41 So those who accepted[ci] his message[cj] were baptized, and that day about 3,000 people[ck] were added.[cl]
*Withdraw the Holy Spirit within them.

And of course all of that withdraw of God's gifts, seal, holy spirit, etc... would fly in the face of his foreknowledge. Having known those who would come to him and accept that which first saved us. His free irrevocable gift of grace that began the entire salvation journey of Christ and was the reason for his birth. That God's will be accomplished.

There are several points you made correctly but several are incorrect.

You said... "It isn't true Jesus didn't baptize anyone." Incorrect. Jesus is not known to have ever baptized anyone. The statement in John 3:22, is clarified in John 4:2. His disciples did the work on Jesus' behalf and thus it was attributed to Him as one and the same. I do agree that the disciples were not mentioned as to being baptized, however, it would be logical to conclude they probably were. Since Christ Himself was baptized by John.... they probably followed Him in this act. We do know that the thief on the cross was never baptized.

I don't follow your point as to Baptism in the Spirit, since this baptism did not replace water baptism. And to the point of Baptism in the Spirit, Scripture does not teach individual Spirit Baptism. All references to being Baptized in the Spirit, always, took place collectively. That is on a group of believers. (The first was on the Jews. The second on the Gentiles.).

Water baptism does not save anyone. It is never seen in Scripture as an ordinance to Salvation; rather it is because of Salvation (Conversion) that one is compelled to follow Christ in this ordinance. It is by the believer, the first obedient act unto God.
We'll agree to disagree that Jesus did not Baptize. Having one scripture that states he and his disciples went about Baptizing would tell me that is true. John 3:22 After this, Jesus and his disciples came into Judean territory, and there he spent time with them and was baptizing.
You'll notice in that chapter there is the note John the Baptist, or Baptizer, had not yet been thrown in prison?

These verses in John 4 also answer the question those whose doctrine is anti-Baptism as to if Jesus Disciples were baptized.
Departure From Judea
1. Now when Jesus[a] knew that the Pharisees[b] had heard that he[c] was winning[d] and baptizing more disciples than John 2 (although Jesus himself was not baptizing, but his disciples were),[e] 3 he left Judea and set out once more for Galilee.[f]
Verse 2 is an authors note. In this case while some scholars attribute John to the apostle John the gospels are considered anonymous.
Further, the question then arises as to why the open testimony in verse 1 that speaks to what would have been of concern to the Pharisees. And eventually be one factor leading to their arresting Jesus that he may answer for what they considered offenses.
Why then would an author note in verse 2 Jesus himself was not baptizing when we are informed the Pharisees heard Jesus was winning and baptizing more disciples than John the Baptist? Verse 2 cancels out the testimony of John in verse 1.

Again, we will agree to disagree that Jesus did not baptize when the words of God tell us he did.

Lastly, I tire very much of the same false rhetoric repeating itself to me as an accusation of something I said when I never did so. I have never said baptism saves. Not once. Let us then speak truthfully rather than further the falsehoods that have entered in.
I also do not agree with anyone who is anti-baptism. Or dismiss baptisms importance to the Christian or in salvation. And that statement is not saying baptism saves so let us not go there to further the falsehood that some pursue repeatedly.

I will say, it is contrary to the gospel and therefore relegates the effort of defending ones understanding of the gospel when part of that defense is to dismiss the importance of baptism or the fact of baptism in our faith and conversion.
How does someone say they are scripture only, sola scriptura, and then dismiss that part of it they find unacceptable?
They can't. Particularly when we know Jesus taught about baptism and indeed did baptize with water in numerous scripture.
If baptism means nothing to our rebirth, our salvation, then Jesus wasted his time. And of course that would be heresy and blasphemy.
Just as is relegating baptism as something to be dismissed or mocked, as has happened in these forums. As soon as that tactic is employed the abuser has lost their argument entirely.

I've looked. I cannot find any Christian doctrine that teaches against baptism. I wonder why.

Yes, obedience to God, without having a relationship with Him is completely useless as far as concerns their status with God and as regards to what they can hope for in their eternity. Paul, a Pharisee - like other Pharisees - had been very strict to obey God in some ways at least (though Jesus said Pharisees also purposely overlooked some of God's laws). But that couldn't save him. Obeying God's laws without having a relationship with God - through having accepted Him as Lord and Savior of one's life - is what it means when it says it isn't possible to be saved by obedience to God's laws.

The gospel is what saves people - that's true. But to be saved by the gospel - one needs to come to full repentance of sin, first. And be willing to let God take control of his life thereafter. And be wiling to prayerfully and always - do one's best to obey God's laws (the New Testament ones - which are in accordance with the teachings of the gospel). And to be wiling to always sincerely repent of all unintentional sins, on a daily basis. Showing repentance of sins regularly - can be seen in the model prayer Jesus made for the disciples to use - called, "The Lord's prayer."
the gospel is different it’s what the whole Bible witnesses Moses law is not Gods law . It’s an earthly law that governs sinners it’s the Old Testament . The gospel is the law

Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people. My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭51:4-5,KJV‬‬

“But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills;

and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths:

for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”(luke 24:46-48)
‭‭Micah‬ ‭4:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the mosaic law was given in the desert of sin from Sinai. The gospel is the true Law of God it is of heaven from his throne for the intent of salvation

The law and the prophets were until John:
since that time the kingdom of God is preached,
and every man presseth into it.”
Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

....”: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life:

and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

‭‭John‬ ‭3:16-21, 31-36‬ ‭KJV

“And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him...

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free....

We didn’t come to a burning terrifying mountain to hear about sin and death , heaven came for us to offer us eternal
Life

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

..Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:”
