Hello everyone! I recently finished reading the New Testament and I am beginning to reread the Bible again. I am looking for someone who has the time to possibly read with me from time to time and have discussions about what is read. I am looking for a mentor or partner so to speak, to learn from one another and teach one another. Christian walk is lonely when you lose friends due to lifestyle changes but I wouldn’t change it for the world nor do I regret my decision to dedicate my life to Christ. I would like more Christian friends and influences and just someone to study the word with, since I am unable to go to church at the moment, which I miss so much! God Bless!
Stay very close to the Lord. Take everything you hear to Him in prayer. Check everything with the Bible. Men WILL offer many false interpretations of it, but the Holy Spirit will help you discern truth from error. Nothing is more edifying than getting alone with God and letting His Spirit speak to you through His Word. Concerning others, the Bible says this...
Matthew
7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Galatians
5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
