There a another verse there that is as powerful a message as verse 23. Verse 24 says: And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
I wonder how often one prays for a need and states that they believe God is able to do what they are praying for Him to do, but, in their hearts/minds, there is a kernel of unbelief? Just a kernel the size of a mustard seed is enough to prevent God from doing what they are praying for I believe. This father realized he harbored such a kernel and prayed that Jesus would help him overcome that kernel of doubt/unbelief. We have to believe with ALL our hearts/minds that God can AND will answer our prayer!
Harder than it seems (in my experience).

Seek you first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all shall be added on to you.
I believe God is able and capable of all things. He is the God of the impossible.
But do my wants and needs match up to his desires for me. Are we to tell the Potter what vessel we should be?
He is the author and finisher of our faith....he alone is the alpha and omega.
If God is capable of all things then he certainly is capable of saying no.....wait.....
Jesus compares our faith as a grain of mustered seed.....very tiny...but did you know it grows to one of the largest plants in the garden?
If you desire your faith to grow two things need to be added.
Trust in the Lord with all of your heart lean not to your own understanding.

PS.119:172.
My tongue shall speak of Your Word: for all Your Commandments are Righteousness.
GEN. 15:6.
And he believed in The LORD; and he counted it to him for Righteousness.

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least Commandments, and shall teach men so,
he shall be called the least in The Kingdom of Heaven:
but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called 'great' in The Kingdom of Heaven.

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us
through the Righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
the 'first definition of Righteousness IS, BELIEF in GOD' -
the 'second definition is: His Commandments are Righteousness'. -
and so,
one way for us to seek The Kingdom and a 'good-position therein, is to KEEP and TEACH His Commandments',
but, as 1Peter 1:1, says, that 'we HAVE to HAVE FAITH through the Righteousness of God',and our Saviour, Jesus Christ...
there is so much MORE to this, but, this is a very good start...

Holy , holy, holy is our Maker and Love.
He commands we should be holy, for He is Holy. He commands we whould be perfect, for He is perfect.
For the longest time I would believe and scratch my head at these two commandments, however after other of His teaching dawned with light upon me, I realized these are not truly commandments at at, nor are they simply suggestions but they are promises. He will perfect us and keep us holy. He will complete that work which He began in us, not we.
He is truly Great. He is truly Love. He is truly our Father...Praise Him, He is worthy not we. But we are commanded to be perfect and holy...promised that is.
He commands we should be holy, for He is Holy. He commands we whould be perfect, for He is perfect.

The Scriptures declare plainly that God desires to bless His people. There is no doubt that those who have chosen Christ as their Savior are a distinct people, a special people, a chosen people. Their primary responsibility is to exhibit and declare Christ to a lost and dying world. In order for this to occur, the transforming work of the Holy Spirit must first conform them into the image of Christ. This is done as the believer maintains simple faith in Christ and the Cross. There is true prosperity of the soul when evidence of Christ’s life in us increases and the image of the person we used to be, decreases. The true prosperity of the soul occurs as righteousness and true holiness is experienced, exhibited, and proclaimed. By embracing spiritual prosperity first, the believer is less likely to be thrown off course by temporal blessings. Earthly possessions should always matter less to us than heavenly passions. Physical blessings are not to be our focus. The believer experiencing true prosperity will not be “stumbled” by an increase in their financial or economic status. The true prosperity of the soul opens up the opportunity for God to bless His people in every capacity that Christ died to provide.
3 John 1:2 - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
