What do you think was Eden like before the fall? Can it ever be recreated? Where exactly on earth was it?

The Earth's topography has been altered quite a bit since Adam's day. For
example, there is no longer any river systems connecting the Tigris and
Euphrates with Ethiopia. Eden's garden could've been anywhere on Earth;
even the region where today the Atacama Desert is located.

Due to the description in scripture many believe Eden was located in the Tigris-Euphrates River Valley.
No, it can't be recreated today.

The word "eden" [Hebrew H5730 `eden] means "delight, pleasure". For God to name the garden "Eden"??? I imagine God's meaning of the word "delight, pleasure" and then in my heart of hearts, I know my version is so far below what God set up for Adam and Eve.

Not on this earth. In Rev 21-22, we see new earth with holy Jerusalem described and, again, I know my version is so far below what God will do.

Because of various changes to the land, I do not believe we can locate exactly where.

The flood of Gen 7 ... drastically changed the landscape. I believe, though, that with what information is provided in Gen 2, we have a general idea of the location, but no specific knowledge.

And there is a reason why God removed Adam and Eve from the garden and placed cherubims and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life (Gen 3:24).

I did a word search at Blue Letter Bible for the term "tree of life". Here are the verses which use that exact term (with the exception of the uses in Genesis):

Proverbs 3:13-17 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

Proverbs 15:1-4 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

Revelation 2:1-7 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 22:1-5 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 2212-14 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

apologies for going off on a tangent to "tree of life" ... I know you asked about Eden ... but to me, the tree of life was what made eden a "delight" and a "pleasure" ... I could be wrong on this and this is just my 2¢ ...

Probably the same as it was before the fall as you call it.

Nothing said that the garden fell, which reminds me that I need to stratify some black walnut nuts for planting this next spring.

so many people call when adam and eve where turned out of the garden 'the fall' that I've taken to using that term as well but I think there ought to be a better word for it!

It seems eden was located in what was known as 'the fertile crescent' or mesopotamia which is where a lot of our edible plants originated from. But that area isnt so fertile anymore is it?

cook islanders refer to the coconut palm as the tree of life. Becuase of its so many uses as food, fuel and fibre.

Theres an Eden Garden in Auckland on the slopes of Mount Eden (a dormant volcano) the volcanic soil is actually very rich if a bit rocky but great for growing plants.
Theres also the Eden Project which is somewhere in England that was an old clay quarry and now a huge garden. But they have had to put up domes there to grow the plants in as the English climate isnt very warm!

interestingly...

Genesis mentions Havilah, Ethiopia and Assyria as the lands near where Eden was located (somewhere to the east was the garden) where the rivers flowed.
It would be good to have a map so I can picture it.

God had an angel guarding the entrance to prevent anyone from entering. Maybe the Garden of Eden still exists.

Try google as there are lots and lots of biblical maps of the supposed location of the Garden of Eden based the biblical account of the topography and rivers.

Genesis 2:10 tells us And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

There is no indication how long the river was before it parted. Was it right at the edge of Eden? Did it flow for awhile and then separate? We don't know ...

We don't even know the name of the river before it parted. We only know the names of the rivers that flowed from the river.

Genesis 2:

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

I don't think anyone can pinpoint where it was but it was what paradise was meant to be literal heaven on earth the ever presence of God beauty and glory abound
as for if it can ever be recreated if God chose yes but I think the garden is will be there in heaven when we get there

It can not be recreated without a global intervention reseting it all.
If 80 procent of humans die off today; it would take less then 10 generations to forget all we achieved this day. Sure we can store some knowledge, but it’ll grow more and more cryptic for each generation.
Survival changes priorities and specializations.

Humans did their part in terraforming this earth too, but we are doing it from a sick nature. Zoom out on nature and a city and you will see us, humanity, as growing cancer.

The Garden of Eden was our very own nature in “holyness”, clean. This week I talked a lot about this with my girlfriend. I buy my own grains and make my own bread. I started thinking on how to be completely self sufficient. I can survive spending only 10 euro per week on food. But looking at my finances it goes to stuff I don’t need. Food that is unhealthy. We as species need more and more is not enough, having brought death into this world sooner and sooner.

The devil will make you believe humans keep getting older, but in reality we die sooner and sooner. Even kids get braintumors doctors are baffled about. Yet here I am posting this while the technology I use for it is harming nature.

I heard theres a vault up in Norway that is storing seeds from plants all over the world, in the event of a catastrophe that we need to replant the earth again. Plants that are edible are given priority.

of course the very first Eden God Himself planted the garden. I wonder what it was like, a garden where you could eat from all the plants and trees except the fruit of ONE tree.

I imagine they had a chocolate/cocoa tree, and mangoes, as well as feijoas, apples and oranges.

So i imagine a food forest and vege patch. It doesnt say how big this garden was. When people think of a garden they often think of something ornamental but I imagine it was as said in the Bible pleasant to the sight as well as edible

The Kauri tree in nz is also called by maori 'the tree of life' not because its edible but because it lives for thousands of years and grows to be a giant. sadly the europeans just cut most of them down to make masts for their ships.

In china the peach is symbol for longevity. so peach trees are highly prized.
In Israel its the olive.

I have no scriptural evidence of this but I had a dream where it felt like I was actually in the spirituasl realm I have actually had several dreams where it felt like that but in this particular one we went through a door or rather I did following an unseen spirit and was then in a heavenly place but it wasn't heaven it felt more like a haven or place of safe keeping it was so wonderful God knows my love of nature and everything there was so much more vivid than anything here the blades of grass were like silk on your feet and the most beautiful deep green you can imagine flowers and all kinds of things of beauty were everywhere

Trees with fruits I have never seen streams of living water birds and creatures like deer and even friendly lions you can cuddle with and night and morning and day still happened but each time of day had a beautiful aspect to it I loved the paths you could walk on at night with fireflies and glowing lamps everywhere and best of all God's presence was everywhere and I played with the holy spirit himself in a lake of living water.like a small child and this living water was so full of life that it glsitened or glowed or shined I couldn't say for sure but even my skin seemed full of life
