Since it's about that time of the year where we enter into the holiday season, I thought this would be a good time to make this thread.

Which holiday is better, in your opinion?

or

Personally, I like the former more. Because I love scary movies and things of that nature. Halloween is my favorite holiday.

Maybe I would like Christmas more if it wasn't advertised so heavily. During December (and even before that), you see and hear so much about it on TV and on the Internet. And that's one reason why Christmas is my least favorite holiday. It's shoved down our throats.

Now which of the two do you like more? And please don't post or comment about how Halloween is a satanic holiday or anything like that. This isn't the thread for that. It's a thread about personal preference when it comes to the two biggest holidays of the year.

So which one? Pick a side. :p

I like Thanksgiving most. I know it's not one of the two provided options, but it's the one day of the year when the maximum number of families gather at the table for a good family dinner. A holiday that is focused on good family dinners is always my first choice. (y)

So for me, I LOVE CHRISTMAS, I listen to nothing but Christmas music as soon as December starts and sing along to the songs, I watch many Christmas movies (Christmas Vacation, Christmas Story, most of the Rankin/Bass cartoons, The Grinch (Both the Jim Carrey one and the animated one, animated one is NOT the Illumination Entertainment one that came out like 2 years ago, I really, really, really don’t like that company, lol), I buy gifts for my family, and we do gatherings and it’s just so much fun. Plus there is a sense of hope and kindness to your fellow human I just think is in Christmas, yes it is over commercialized, and people can still get grumpy. But I just can’t help but to be happy and excited as I count down the days as it gets closer to Christmas ^_^

So yes, I’m very much a Christmas Freak, lol 😅

I have to be honest say yes Xmas does it for me.And as its right near the end of the year I get to give God thanks that my family members are all still alive and we share a lovely day together..You never know if the following Xmas day one of the family members may not be alive..plus we think and say prayer forbthose who are alone on Xmas day,the homeless, those still in hospital ect..
(Plus as no one in my family likes turkey/chicken breast.....it's all mine to devour alone...)😂😂😊

Definitely Christmas although I'm not one of those people who absolutely love it. I just like it better than halloween. I used to like halloween better but it's not the same anymore. No kids (or anyone) go trick or treating around here anymore. They all go to the malls or to haloween parties now. Plus I found out several years ago that evil worshipers use halloween as a day to make unholy sacrifices.

What about Home Alone 1 and 2? :)

Oh yeah definitely love those movies! :D

I also forgot to say that I watch Elf too, I love that movie, laughing just thinking about when Will Ferrel yells the: “SANTA! OH MY GOD!!!” line, LOL XD

I don’t think we have Home alone on DVD, might be something I look into buying, but yes the first two movies are great, anything after the first two movies is trash, lol.

I love the focus on Jesus at Christmastime. When people drive past our home, I live on a busy highway, they get treated to the Manger scene lit up and angels, stars and signs. I have a big sign that says 'The best gift of all is free' plus other signs. I also have my stereo set to low for 24/7 Christmas music starting Dec 1st.
There are enough Hallmark Christmas movies now to watch 2 or 3 a day til Christmas. Even 2 classic Thanksgiving movies by Hallmark. Thanksgiving is great for giving thanks to God for His goodness and good food, Amen:)!
I think if I put up 'angel figures' floating around outside instead of witches for Halloween, that might scare some people more than monsters, lol.

well, it's really not a 'holiday', but an 'Holy Day',
it's called, Passover', for Jesus Christ is our
'Passover'...

Halloween is best, because all the churches will be proving that they have no idea how to out reach or disciple folks, with their trunk or treat, and hell house nonsense.

It's like watching a fish flop off of a deck and back into the water.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Indeed, the focus is on family and dinner. 'Football too. I don't care about Halloween at all. I enjoy Christmas but it seems that Christmas is actually a season that last several days or weeks.
