I wonder if these are the same "Simons" in the New Testament?

I wonder if these 2 mentioned Simons (called Simeon in one verse) were both the same man and the man who carried Jesus cross? Interesting thought.

Matt 27:32

32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

13:1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Not impossible, although the name is slightly different. In Matt 27:32 it is Σίμων, and in Acts 13:1 it is Συμεών

True, the names, "Simon" and "Simeon" are somewhat different. Yet, it looks like Peter, for some reason is once called "Simeon" too - though usually called "Simon" in the New Testament.

Acts 15:14

14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

I looked online now, and found a Bible commentary on that verse, that also says Acts 15:14 was referring to Peter, though the names differ (Simon and Simeion):

we don't have the answer 'right now', but we so LOVE seeing the INDEPTH study of those
who are obviously on the right 'trail'...

I looked online now again, on others' comments on the verse about the "Simon" who is mentioned as carrying Jesus' cross, and am glad I looked! I see now it is verified that it is possible that this "Simon' may have been the same one mentioned in the later passage in Acts. It said that Rufus and another mentioned Christian in New Testament may have been this "Simon's" sons! Sounds likely and possible!
