Oh wow that top text isn't supposed to be there lol. I wasn't going to post it but it remained in the reply box since yesterday and i didn't see it when I posted. It was supposed to say, "People accuse you of things you never meant when posting the topic and then it divulges into an argument with me trying to defend myself against accusastions.."
I stopped posting in writing and poetry because I was attacked with ridiculous accusations. I was really bewildered at the behaviour but it scared me. My character was shredded. It is not what I came here for so I don't feel like I can share in that way.

@TabinRivCA - You always have great ideas for threads, or things to add on to threads... Have you considered writing them yourself? I honestly think you should try out your ideas. You'd be great at it. :)

I have to agree with @zeroturbulence - writing threads takes a very thick skin and a certain amount of risk. No matter what you post, someone is likely to find some kind of fault and will criticize you for it. While I agree that rewriting old threads is a great idea (I've done it with some of my own threads,) you're bound to get some who will say, "That topic already been talked to death -- bor-ing!!!"

Years ago, there were a few times when people suggested thread ideas to me and wanted me to write the threads for them. I'm sure they had good intentions, but what they really wanted was for me to do all the work, then take any heat or blame for their idea while they were able to see their questions answered from a safe distance. Therefore, I no longer ghost-write threads (and even when I did, I would state that it was someone else's idea, even if they wanted to remain anonymous.) I don't want to be a shield for someone else's curiosity - I'll take the fire for my own ideas, but not someone who just wants to leave an idea and try to get another person to do all the work and take all the shots.

@TabinRivCA - I am NOT saying that you are like this at all, I'm just saying, you have all these superb ideas, why not try them out instead of leaving it for someone else? :)

This is a never-ending circle of complaint on the forum -- 1. There's never any new threads, and 2. People talk about the same things over and over again.

But at the same time, I rarely see those same people step up and write any new, never-talked-about-before or "exciting" (according to what they seem to be looking for, at least) threads themselves.

These days, I generally only take thread suggestions from people who have a bit of experience with writing threads themselves, because I want to collaborate with people who have been through the process enough to know how challenging it really can be.
Thx but you're giving me too much credit. I've been busy but will be posting off and on. Also thx for the pep talk to all of us pondering great ideas to post, lol.

Don't let 'downers' that want to share their misery influence you. You are a very creative person with pleasant posts:love:.

Privacy is important. The photo I post doesn't appear anywhere else on the web. If you did a google image search it would probably say "girl most likely to show up at your door with a loaf of banana bread", lol.
Yeah it is, the thought probably only came up because I’m used to using online websites and whatnot. I don’t do it often though, only when I feel like it. I have been doing it for the dating websites I was using recently, but I canceled all of those websites, so doing that stuff probably put confidence in me to post a photo of myself, but I forgot and I’m okay that I did, to hear that it’s not a smart idea, I’m more likely to share photos of the pets (My family is split, so my mom has a dog, and my dad has dogs/cats, lol) honestly.

I think you post whatever you want and whatever makes you comfortable. Your umbreon is adorable. My son draws Pokemon and has done some realistic looking ones that are pretty cool. Shroomish makes me laugh and Larvitar is like a baby Godzilla, lol. Love them.

are they threads like 'what did you eat last?' so everyone tries to remember what they ate last.

I am not good at those threads! . Cos they make me hangry. I mean hungry.

sometimes I bring up my old threads again because I might have thought of something new to post in them and dont want to repeat a thread I had already started. I have to go look for them though because they would be way at the bottom of the pile pages and pages back.

@seoulsearch someone asked you to GHOSTwrite threads for them??? wow.

why would they do that. I dont know how i would feel about that. flattered that they asked and thougt I was a great writer or annoyed that they asked to get me to do all the work.

I mean I wouldnt do anyones homework FOR them. I was shocked that some people would and that actually happened in schools what poor suckers would get roped into doing that. Maybe they got bribed?

Its like when peoole go hey you love gardening want to weed MY garden. I'll pay you.
Um no. I wouldnt dont want to deprive you of the joy of weeding YOUR OWN garden. Ive got my own garden to weed.

I actually never saw it as doing someone's homework for them. This was at a time where we had several regulars here in singles, and many new threads would be posted daily, so we were trying to encourage more people to post and make threads so that it wasn't the same 5 people always making threads.

People communicate in different ways -- such as someone who might be able to express their idea when speaking, but not so much when writing. I saw it more like if you had a sibling who wanted to write a love letter to a significant other, but needed a little help in learning how to structure and word it. I would also state in the opening post that it was someone else's idea, but wouldn't name a name if they wanted to remain anonymous.

My intention was to try to help them get their feet wet and encourage them to go out on their own, but it was too easy to become, "Hey, why don't you write a thread about..." and "Why don't you write a thread asking this, this, and this?" Instead of, "Could you help me with this idea," it became, "Hey, you need to do this," so when it became clear that they weren't really interested in writing threads (which I do understand,) I stopped doing it. I'm not interested in being a safety shield for other people's ideas (though I will gladly talk to people about their ideas for threads if they are willing to do the work themselves.) "Wizard of Oz"-ing just isn't my style.

If I'm going to be first in the line of fire, I'd rather be the one to push the button. :)

I do understand though. Writing threads, for me at least (and everyone always says I overthink things way too much) :), takes quite a bit of effort and time, and even more so to try to make sure the thread doesn't turn into a makeshift online bar fight. Every minute spent here is stealing time from a stack of other things I could/should be doing otherwise, so I completely understand why it's generally easier for most to respond to threads rather than to make them, which is part of why the forums have slowed down tremendously.

I would just say encourage others, try it doesnt have to be perfect.
Honestly I dont mind WHO starts threads, I just start them if nobody else has posted an idea that I have thought of. I dont really worry so much about how its worded because its more that people respond with their own ideas rather than me trying to direct their thoughts.

usually it would be an open question (and there is no right or wrong answer)
or it would be a premise or statement and then to encourage response ...what are your thoughts?

I dont really have an agenda or anything like some theads are just clickbait (watch this video...if you answer say if you are a calvinist or arminist...trump supporter, BLMist, whatever) and then come down like a tonne of bricks on anyone who disagrees. A forum is just a place for discussion, I dont see it as a debating arena.

Let me change that just a bit...
When good Christian fellowship is the objective, a forum on a Christian web site should be a place for discussion and not debate.
There...
