I wrote this poem based on Isaiah 41:13 - "I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand."

And the words of Jesus in John 18:36 - "My kingdom is not of this world."

Love From Another Kingdom

If my heart seeks to be loved
In a world where love is cold
Who shall be the one
Whose hand my hand shall hold

Perhaps in another Kingdom
Is one who will hear my cry
Who will enter my wretched world
Who will love, suffer and die

His cross upon the earth
Will be our meeting place
Where I give over my sins
Where he gives over his grace

This one my heart shall seek
Until his hand's in mine
Leading me to his Kingdom
Leaving my wretched world behind
