In Love (y)

Your Catholic

Haven't you taken a close look at the popes, ritual, abuses, etc in the Catholic Church?

Pope John Paul sheltered Cardinal Law below, he was indicted in Boston to face charges in his involvent in 400 child molestation charges, Cardinal Law fled to (Vatican City) just before his arrest, and was protected from Extradition by Pope John Paul?

That alone would have me running away from anything associated with the Catholic Church?

Wikipedia: Bernard Francis Law (November 4, 1931 – December 20, 2017) was an American cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He was Archbishop Emeritus of Boston, former archpriest of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, and Cardinal Priest of Santa Susanna, which was the American Catholic church in Rome until 2017, when the American community was relocated to San

Law in the mid-1980s
Archdiocese Boston Appointed January 11, 1984

Law was Archbishop of Boston from 1984 until his resignation on December 13, 2002, after his involvement in the Catholic Archdiocese of Boston sex abuse scandal became public knowledge. Law was proven to have ignored or concealed the molestation of numerous underage children;[1][2] church documents demonstrate that he had extensive knowledge concerning widespread child sexual abuse committed by dozens of Catholic priests within his archdiocese over a period of almost two decades, and that he failed to report these crimes to the authorities, instead merely transferring the accused priests between parishes.[3] One priest in Law's archdiocese, John Geoghan, was alleged to have raped or molested more than 130 children in six different parishes in a career which spanned 30 years.[3]

Two years after Law resigned from his position in Boston, an act which Bishop William S. Skylstad called "an important step in the healing process",[4] Pope John Paul II appointed him Archpriest of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome in 2004. He resigned from this position upon reaching the age of 80 in November 2011 and died in Rome on December 20, 2017, at the age of 86.

Within weeks of his resignation, Law moved from Boston to Rome.[24] When the state attorney general issued his report entitled Child Sexual Abuse in the Archdiocese of Boston (July 23, 2003), he severely criticized Law, mentioning that "the Archdiocese has shown an institutional reluctance to adequately address the problem and, in fact, made choices that allowed the abuse to continue," but did not allege that Law had tried to evade investigation.[24] He said that Cardinal Law had not broken any laws, because the law requiring abuse to be reported was not expanded to include priests until 2002.[32]
Let's not be Catholic bashing. You can't blame all Catholics because of a few bad apples. The 500-year Catholic-Protestant War is finally over and let's keep it that way. At least they still largely oppose gay marriage and abortion unlike the United Methodists and Presbyterians. Let's support each other as we have a common enemy out there - the unsaved world - which still hates us as much today as they did in the days of Christ.

The common enemy is within, wolves in sheep's clothing.

Methodist, Presbyterian, Catholic, Baptist, Reformed, Independent, Etc

No bashing, just a mention of truth.

No further response from me

Then there are those who disavow Christ's promise to return to His generation and invent crazy notions like the "fly away - left behind" rapture doctrine. Not calling you a wolf, just a dangerous embarrassment to the Body of Christ especially when your side sets dates for these extra-Biblical events.

You deny a future return of Jesus Christ to earth

You deny a future resurrection of the believer

You deny the (Basic) foundations of the Christian Faith

I consider the Cults of Mormons, and JW's in higher regard than the false teachings you present.

Wow I'm sorry, but that is a very mean thing to say. For real? Seriously with a strait face you would, in real life not trying to "spice up" your own attacks, you are saying that Cults of Mormons, and JW's are closer to Gods truth than PlainWord? To me that's just a jab, I can't even take that kind of comment seriously when it just seems it is just thrown out there as an insult and for no other constructive reason, because the timing of the return of Jesus in judgement is peanuts compared to what either of these groups proclaim as truth, strait up. To try to act as if what Plain is saying is anywhere on that level, quit frankly is so ridiculous as to be dismissed as just as you just getting mad and lashing out. Come on man, why the bitter hatred like this? You realize you can be saved and believe either way. I was.

No hatred, just exposing false teachings.

Sorry Jim, but the cults of Mormons and JWS believe in the second coming and resurrection

The second coming and resurrection of the believer are (Foundations) of the Christian faith.

Its a fact that PlainWord denies both, I disregard any and all of his claims, and once again, consider the Mormons and JWS more credible, and that ain't saying much.

You might take his denials lightly, I don't.

Denying a future second coming of Jesus Christ and a resurrection of the believer is another doctrine (Contrary) to the Christian Faith.

(Full Preterism) is Heretical!

Romans 16:17-18KJV
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

2 Timothy 2:16-18KJV
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

If what "you" learned was incorrect, following this verse will have you avoiding the truth.

This was written prior to the events to which PlainWord is referring, therefore it cannot be used as evidence that his teaching is incorrect.

The Future Resurrection Of The Believer In Jesus Christ, A Doctrinal Foundation Of The Christian Faith.

1 Corinthians 15:16-24KJV
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

Philippians 3:10-11KJV

10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

You deny a future resurrection of the believer WE DON't GO TO HADES TO REST ANYMORE

You deny the (Basic) foundations of the Christian Faith YOUR VERSION OF IT. I LIKE CHRIST'S VERSION MUCH BETTER THAN THE TRADITIONS OF MEN YOU FUTURIST FOLLOW.

I consider the Cults of Mormons, and JW's in higher regard than the false teachings you present. WHO CARES WHAT YOU REGARD, I CERTAINLY DON'T??

But since I came from your point of view I understand how easy it is to blindly follow people you respect so I won't insult you the way you continuously insult me. You will eventually come to understand if not in this life, certainly in the next. Our differing views of eschatology means absolutely nothing in terms of our salvation or walk with Christ. You futurists/rapturists cherish your views far too much especially given the lack of Biblical support you have for them. You rely on one passage and overlook the dozens of others that refute your precious fly-away doctrine. You are blinded to all the contradictions and massive time gaps your doctrine creates. Of all the prophetic models out there, yours has the most holes. Go in peace brother.

The "last day" was the last day of their age. That was when they were raised up. Notice the "Hour is coming?" 2,000 years later is not an hour soon coming.

You've got us in the last days longer than the entire age lasted.
