I moved in with mom when I finished college in May 2019, and ever since then I have been doing bible studies, cause my mom wants time to them with her and I was interested overall, but now I understand how important bible studies are. Like we can read the Bible, but there is a huge difference from just reading, to actually trying understand what certain verses mean and all that.

The Bible studies I’ve done so far are:

-Raised Together by Gloria Furman (This one wasn’t bad, but it was hard to do cause it got really “wordy” for a lack of a better term. Like me and my mom would stare at a question, not really knowing how to answer it)

-Beloved Disciple by Beth Moore (Me and my mom really enjoyed this bible study, it felt more personal overall and taught great lessons, learned a lot about John by doing this bible study)

-Jeremiah: Daring to hope in an Unstable world by Melissa Spoelstra (This one was really great too, in fact our bible study group enjoyed this author so much, they did another study from her as our next bible study)

-Romans: Good News that changes everything by Melissa Spoelstra (Just as great as her Jeremiah study)

But yeah, I miss doing studies because the virus has basically shut down everything, like we are able to go to church, but they aren’t doing studies or any Sunday school classes. I know online studies exist, but I think doing them with other people, in real life, is something I prefer, even though I find it hard to be social in real life.

Bible study is essential to growing as a Christian. Just make sure to also research the individuals teaching the course. Get a good assessment of the individual for example Beth Moore has her critics.

In less you are in 100% lockdown then you can still meet. Just follow the CDC's guidelines. Judge me how you may but my study group meets at a house. We do not follow the guidelines at the house. We all are young so we are not that worried about it. Of course, the older group members are still not attending.

That is a good point to bring up with doing research on bible studies before doing them. Basically, the church we do Bible study at, is where my mom and plus some of her friends run the “Fit for God” program, my mom doesn’t run Fit for God, but the church that hosts our fitness program holds Bible studies every Wednesday, so I was just along for the ride to be honest, lol.

We also have a smaller bible study group in our neighborhood, it’s me, my mom, and two other women. But said women are older and are trying to be careful with meeting people, so yeah I have no ways right now to be doing bible study. I would like to do a study with my mom cause I find it more fun and easier to do them with my mom, but that would be hard to do online cause she isn’t the best with technology. I did find one online, as in I got it as a email, thinking of buying the book at least. It’s this one: https://www.faithgateway.com/its-no...paign=fgfree20200709instbtwobs&utm_term=fgobs

There are some videos in a channel called "the bible project" and they have lot of good ones, even the short 3 or 4 min videos are informative and well done. I suggest you search it and it can be like a "mini bible study".
If you are doing something else you can also watch them during the break or interval.

Thanks, that's really nice ^_^...I think I want to check out those videos, cause if you aren't in America, then sending those books is gonna cost some money, cause International shipping is always higher than regular shipping, if my memory is right. I've sold things on Ebay so I'm quite aware of shipping, packing items, and whatnot.

They are PDF's just make the promise to donate to the corresponding church any money (does not even have to be much or not even the price of the books). Like they say "give from the heart"

And yes, it is from a church in the US so the books are in English. (i normally speak Spanish if you know or entered the post of my presentation; just in case you had doubts)

Cool, I meant to reach out on Sunday, but my mom just told me we are doing a bible study starting in September and it will be on Philippians, which I haven’t studied yet which so it will cool to study Philippians. Still need to check out those YouTube videos you recommended...I get distracted and forget things easily, lol 😅
