I find this interesting for both newcomers and those who profess to be saved. The Interesting thing is in these statements below people who believed they were genuinely saved were rejected by Christ. This is why I think we really need to check our faith in Christ.

"But why do you call Me "Lord, Lord", and not do the things which I say.

"Not everyone who says to Me Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven but her who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesisedin Your name, cast out demons in Your name? And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.

I think from my study this is where

I honestly don't know I can tell you how "you" know you're saved, but I can testify about how I knew I was saved and pray the concepts are used by His Spirit to relay the truth. One thing I have learned since being saved is it is a very personal thing and can happen in completely different ways for different people.

An example is my rebirth was a miraculous, overnight, completely changed from the inside out, in total awe of what happen completely dying of hunger for everything God everything Jesus! Now I hit my knees after already having thought I was a Christian, I went up front, said the prayer, was dunked in water and told I was saved now. After 5 years or so of "liking the idea of Jesus" but never having any kind of change of any kind I was part of the club, then tragedy struck. I was in a motorcycle wreak and loss all function in my dominate right arm. This crushed me. Over 2 years of the world crushing me, of wanting to die so bad I though about killing myself literally all day every day. Without hope, the doctors couldn't help me, science couldn't help me, the lawyers couldn't help me, and deceived into thinking I already knew Jesus and was saved, at that point in my head even God couldn't help me, or wasn't any help anyway.

After two years it all came to a head and I broke down and hit my knees. If I ever believed in God before truly, I didn't now. I hit my knees in defeat and seeing what a futile joke "my way" in life was, and where it lead. I hit my knees and quit only to be picked up by Jesus. Early the next day I made a comment to the receptionist that "I feel like I have an umbilical cord to the Holy Spirit", which was really a weird thing to say, but I went about my day. It was lunch time a bit later when it hit me. It was so earth shaking to me I almost couldn't speak and it hit me like a ton of bricks. "I HAVEN'T THOUGHT ABOUT KILLING MYSELF ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", And it was right then in that moment I KNEW that whatever this was, whatever happen was God. Even bigger and more important I KNEW Jesus was His Son.

From there He lead me strait to John and by the time I hit chapter 3 I was back at the receptionist desk proclaiming in astonished excitement "I think I was born again!". This was how I knew I was saved, and He's been with me every day since, to His glory.

This is how "I" knew I was saved. For a bit of contrast my wife said this took place for her in a room alone with the bible seeking Him out in truth and honesty. Amazing, and I know my testimony sounds more flashy and entertaining, but standing in front of God, face with these two resamples, I'd rather be able to have hers. In a sense, and just as an example.

Another testimony I've heard is just having served Him as long as they could remember. Raised in Christian homes and feeling called at a young age I know 2 people with this testimony. Now saying this I do not want to give the impression I'm talking about being "born Christian" or anything like that, because I do believe there comes a time when a transformation must take place, Jesus tells us we must be born again, so I have no idea when this took place in their lives, and they didn't pinpoint a time this happen, but this is another way we might be born again.
I'm sorry I can't tell you more than these testimonies and examples, but the one thing we all do share is the spirit. I mean the Holy Spirit too of course but what I mean as well is our spirit. When we are born we are born into this world from Adam into sin, born with a dead spirit. Inside us this dead spirit is what we feel is wrong inside of us, this is what we try to repair through the flesh, and can never know it won't work, because it's not the problem. The thing is that without God directly telling us the problem we could never even know what it is and why the flesh can never satisfy. But how we know we are saved, and what being born again is, is our spirit resurrected and reconciled to His, as we were created to be. Made whole.

The simple answer is you take God at His word. 1 John 5:11-12. "And this is the record that God has given us eternal and life, and this life is in the Son, he that has the Son has life, he that does not have the Son does not have the life.' Your salvation is not based on how you feel, whether estactic or not. Feelings are subjective and change
You trust i what God says in His word, period.

IN HIM,

Ro 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

God assures those whom He has drawn, convicted and saved according to His grace. The Holy Spirit is the earnest of our salvation, the down payment that seals us unto the redemption that is ours in Christ.

Our new life in Christ is our daily evidence that we are children of God.

I have wondered about this and searched the scriptures for an answer. There is someone in our world that thinks they are saved but are not or we wouldn't have the scriptures that are posted here.

It seems to me that the best scriptures to explore for an answer is to explore the sacrificial system in Leviticus. Jesus fulfilled that system so we can look at the details of what Jesus fulfilled. It lists the sins that Christ forgives us for, and our sins must be forgiven if we are to be saved. According to that we are to give our sins to the Lord. We are not to keep them and intend to still be a sinner. But sin is in our nature, so we still sin. Paul expressed this by saying he intends to not sin, but he doesn't understand himself because he still sins.

I think this is what is meant by telling us to repent.

In the sacrificial system this is addressed by sacrificing for forgiveness for the sins they are not aware of.

Is anything else in your life as important as your relationship with Christ? Do you go through the gospels verse by verse hungry to obey His every word? Follow His every example?

Do you know that anything you do and acquire in this life will all come to nothing in just a short time? All except that which is done for Christ's kingdom.

If He is all that matters in your life, and you "hate" everything else in comparison that draws you away then you will know that you belong to Him.

You do not have to be perfect, that is why Christ had to die.

John the Baptist, the Apostles, and Jesus, preached that the kingdom of heaven is at hand. The kingdom of heaven is one of many names that the church is called, Christ's bride. Some more names are; The church if the first born, The church in the wilderness, The new Jerusalem, Zion, The church of Christ, The church of God,

If the kingdom of heaven in Matt 7 was referencing eternal heaven it would indicate eternal salvation by works.

As someone who has deals with anxiety, I have known the struggle with being assured of salvation. Reading the Scriptures have been immensely encouraging at times with assurance of salvation. Songs have helped too. Often times I have felt saved and a joy that accompanies that only to later on have doubt and/or fear/anxiety come up again.

With that said, I do feel more at ease with my own salvation. Remembering it is not about how well I perform but it is Jesus who paid it all and his sacrifice is sufficient, is helpful.
Look to Jesus and trust your eternity to him. He is faithful.

All of those that Christ died for to pay for their sins were, actually, saved eternally at that time in a covenant relationship.

There is no evidence ' out There ' that anyone has been rejected by Jesus ( lost salvation). Every Christian usually acknowledges that there will be people within the Church who are professing Jesus ,who are not born again . And all those that ' apparently ' walk away and suddenly renounce Jesus and become an Atheist or a satanist . Inspite of the stories we hear ; " I knew this guy , who really , really, really was saved , he got baptised and was on FIRE !! for the Lord , but then woke up one day and became an atheist . No we cannot Judge by this method . Its too subjective . From the bible its clear I believe we cannot walk away or be lost ( Praise God , because we would all blow it , the devil would have no issue getting every Christian to lose their salvation if it were possible) .
I believe Matthew 7 is saying Jesus never knew them , which is kinda obvious by that ,they were not saved in the first place.
How do we know ourselves ? The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God Rom 8 .16
Ephesians 2.8an9 . Ephesians 1 . 21 . Ephesians 1.13 . Rom 8.23 . 1 john 5.13
john 8.32 . There's too many to list here .
Election is to service, calling and purpose, not to salvation. (Isa. 42:1; Acts 9:15; Rom. 11:28)
There are 2 callings: Gospel and vocational, not inward or outward or effectual or ineffectual, etc… (2 Thess. 2:14; Eph. 4:1; Rom. 8:28; 2 Cor. 5:20)

Where does it say we have a 'covenant ' relationship in the NT ? And He died for the sins of the whole world ,as the bible clearly says . 2cor 5.19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

""I never knew you" this is about when Christ sets foot on the earth He then gathers the nations that just came out of the great tribulation. Its those He splits sheep and goats.

Now this should real easy well He said "I never knew you". Does He know you know? Did not all the angels in heaven rejoice when He found you? Did not He tell the Father about you? :) so He can never say to you "I never knew you".

John 3:16 speaks for its self. Anyone that simply calls on the name of the lord shall be saved. So you must repent and believe John 3:16 and you shall be saved. Someone saying they can't be saved is just a lie for them enemy.

So as you look at Christ.. He does not judge you does not condemn you. So ANY condemnation or guilt is from the enemy.

According to John 3:16, what do I need to believe about Jesus, to be saved?
