So basically a night of saying we need more unrest in the streets. A eulogy for Biden, how his faith steered his life, how America is evil, Capitalism is bad, the call to kneel for the National Anthem and of course the pastor at the virtual Democratic National Convention says America “may well go to hell” if we don’t have open borders. I often wonder what Bible do they read? What faith do they hold? But I suppose this isn't the first time in history where 2 groups clash and claim to pray to the same God. Even Mayor Pete tried to run as a gay Christian. How can you claim to be a Christian but support abortion? The Bible has something to say either directly or indirectly on every topic. Government, money, life, death, family, sex, law, justice, ontology, philosophy, psychology, science, sin, evil, righteousness, forgiveness, love, economy, and even examples of borders within protecting the Kingdom, how to treat illegal aliens and how to treat the visitors, etc. Even Satan can masquerade as an angel of light. The great deceiver. Believing as Eve did and forsake the truth for a lie. Open their eyes Oh God. Good people are dying in our streets as the criminals go free.
Matthew 27:15-23 English Standard Version (ESV)
The Crowd Chooses Barabbas
15 Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release for the crowd any one prisoner whom they wanted. 16 And they had then a notorious prisoner called Barabbas. 17 So when they had gathered, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release for you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?” 18 For he knew that it was out of envy that they had delivered him up. 19 Besides, while he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered much because of him today in a dream.” 20 Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. 21 The governor again said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas.” 22 Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said, “Let him be crucified!” 23 And he said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Let him be crucified!”
The criminal is chosen over the righteous.
Jesus was crucified by the hypocritical religious of His day and he reminds us of just how far the depravity of the mind can go. They no longer could think logically or see the prophetic event. They would kill a righteous man beside two criminals.
Luke 23:33-34 English Standard Version (ESV)
33 And when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on his right and one on his left. 34 And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.
