The first thing that is obnoxious to the Creator: proud look.
We are in a generation whose eyes are lofty and their eyelids are lifted up. (Proverbs 30.15).
High look is so abominable to the Creator that, in all the Holy Scripture, we didn’t see written “God resists to the robbers” or “God resists to the thieves, assailants, mobsters, etc.”. Nonetheless, the Creator resists to the boasters (James 4.6; 1Peter 5.5).
Behold the situation of the arrogant:
Whereas what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God (Luke 16.15), let’s abide by what the psalmist said:
Muse on this and have a good week in Christ Jesus.
- “These six Jehovah hates; yea, seven are hateful to his soul: *a proud look*, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that plots wicked plans, feet hurrying to run to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and he who causes fighting among brothers.” (Proverbs 6.16-19).

- “Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, I will cut him off; him *who has a high look and a proud heart, I will not allow*.” (Psalms 101.5).
- “*Everyone proud in heart is hateful to Jehovah*; though hand join in hand, *he shall not be unpunished*.” (Proverbs 16.5)
- “*A high look, a proud heart*, and the plowing of the wicked, *is sin*.” (Proverbs 21.4)
- “And the mean man is bowed down, and the great man is humbled, and *the eyes of the lofty are humbled:*” (Isaiah 5.15).
