Yeah I'm starting to consider this concept as applying to "the company you keep" "bad company corrupts good morals" etc.

I further apply it to off-screen but that's a hard leap for a lot of people that have their favorites when someone does a clean portrayal.



It's funny that you mention that...I considered this just last night lol. There is still something to be said for desktops but your skills would require you to build the ones that look like the old external CD drives or the big external HDDs before they got smaller.
A desktop connected to even a 40 inch screen is incredibly practical and portable for presentations etc. Easier than HDMI laptop hookups.

I'm a niche person though but there's probably a sizable library market or for personal utility. That's where I saw the tiny desktops but I've been to much more rural libraries that still have the bulky compaqs from maybe 2005.

It would require boatloads of energy to keep abreast of so it makes sense to be led away from it...I was going to go the programming track from high school but I was led away from that also.

If you're going that route you can get a computer the size of a flash drive, that plugs into your TV's HDMI port and runs like a full Windows computer. But you need to pack a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and have an internet connection somewhere in the building that can provide wifi...

It's much easier to just carry a miracast dongle that will put your phone screen on the big screen. Your phone already has an interface and internet connection.

In the past, I was a huge Harry Potter fan and collected nearly every game that was made in the franchise. Didn't think anything of it, until I read an article about HP being demonic... Those games soon got sold. Nowadays I watch YouTube reviews of Games before I purchase them....

Yes I try to look at games in as much detail as I can before purchasing. I'm not a Harry Potter fan because I dislike the series as a whole. Such terms like magic are very iffy for me. Since Harry Potter is literally about Witchcraft and Wizards I dont really bother with it. I am a big fan of Goosebumps and similar series. They inspire my writing. In some Goosebumps books terms like "Magic" are sometimes used whether it be a performing illusionist (Magician) or a fortune teller. I tend to avoid those volumes I notice alot of those that use it are almost cautionary tales more often than not the characters in the book regret it. I'm not sure if it's all of them that include a cautionary aspect. I usually just avoid em to be safe. Stine is Jewish so it wouldnt surprise me if he purposely does it.

See I’m not a fan of Harry Potter or DND either. Some would say “but it’s so fun!!” Yeah but do you really think it’s ok to pretend to be someone who uses dark magic?

I imagine for some who likes to play darker tabletops it would be difficult

I don't like Harry Potter, but you don't have to necessarily play a caster or a thief in DND.
There are rangers, paladins, fighters... and they can make a pretty cool party. It makes for a good roleplay, too, if the challenge is rejecting all magic.
Paladin is a very strong class and has Lay on Hands healing.
You don't need a caster.

I tend too avoid sorcerers and Wizards for that reason. Necromancer is probably the most problematic for a Christian. Theres plenty of rpgs that dont use terms like magic and sorcery. I played one called Gamma World it was a postapocolyptic setup. It I think they had pyromancy and that was it for the more mythical stuff. I tend to pick Ranger or Paladin they both have useful skill sets. Ranger was a broken class in 3.5

Maybe good morals corrupt bad company that steers them toward God.

But if your bothered by the terms it's best to just stay away. There are plenty of other games than d&d 👍
