I was saved from the New Age movement exactly 4 weeks and 4 days ago. Jesus continues to give me the most fulfilling connection to the Light that I have ever received for I was being deceived. Yoga is extremely dangerous to a Christians soul and I’m living proof that it is way more than just stretching!!!

Hi Sara, and welcome to CC!

Grab a coffee and join the fun. You might consider sharing your perspective on yoga in one of the Forums; I'm interested, and I think it would be valuable for others to read as well. :)

Is there a forum for discussions like that? I have so much to share with everyone and I want to help spread awareness.

Am definitely interested in hearing your testimony. I know very little about New Age teachings and zero about yoga.

People need to hear these things, imo.

New Age has been around for a long time. It’s law of attraction, alien contact, astrology, tarot cards, meditation..anything that deceives you into thinking you are divine in some way or another. The original sin 🙃

Yoga is called a practice not because you get better overtime, but because it’s a spiritual practice to connect oneself to from an individual consciousness to a universal consciousness. It can happen without you even being aware of it. Many of the movements/poses are to worship deity’s.

I saw that in the video. I can see the satanic imitation of being filled with Holy Spirit, being imposed on man mostly through ignorance. My own view formerly of yoga was just exercises even though I heard it was wrong.

Now I know why. Thank you!

I am glad you have seen the truth of this matter :) I have posted on this before...

The Sanskrit noun योग yoga is derived from the sanskrit root yuj (युज्) "to attach, join, harness, yoke." In the context of yoga sutras, the word yoga means "union," and the goal is to unite one's transitory (temporary) self with the infinite Brahman, the Hindu concept of "God." This god is not a literal being, but is an impersonal spiritual substance that is one with nature and the cosmos. This view is called "pantheism," the belief that everything is God, and that reality consists only of the universe and nature. Because everything is God, the yoga philosophy makes no distinction between man and God. The practice of yoga is based on the belief that man and God are one. It is little more than self-worship disguised as high-level spirituality. source

Divesting yoga of the spirituality connected to it is seen as somewhat sacrilegious by those who honor its origins. That is not to say you need to recognize those things to practice yoga, though any yoga teacher worth their spit would not agree that this is copacetic. There was a piece in one of our daily newspapers some time ago about this very thing, and how true practitioners saw it as a travesty (that yoga is being treated as exercise only).

Welcome to the family :)

This is something I sadly learned after I was having psychotic break downs and not knowing why because I thought yoga was meant to bring inner peace. I didn’t know that when I was naively doing warrior 1 2 and 3 that I was mimicking Shiva decapitate Daksha, then putting his head on a steak. Almost every move represents a Hindu deity. I was unintentionally coming into contact with the deception of Brahmin. researchers are finding that psychologist are finding a link between Yoga and Psychosis. Even though we can try to ignore it’s spiritual aspects for the sake of stretching does not mean God ignores them with us.

Praise God for your deliverance! Sadly, many people do not realize just how deep the New Age Movement has penetrated into mainstream culture, even the church. I've shared how the well known church seminar "Alpha" - which is a venue for non-denominational churches to introduce Jesus to those who know little or nothing of Him - is actually structured utilizing principles of New Age occultism to unwittingly program the people to embrace rigid religious hierarchy which will be useful in the near future when religion is compelled by the State as the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation have predicted. The key to avoiding deception has always been the same: Daily prayer, Bible study, and a life lived as a witness of God's power to change us. :)

Welcome to CC and glad to have you join in the fellowship here! My question would be , why is 'Jupiter' in your icon? I used to do astrological charts and could have a thriving business, but when I did the research and found out it's origins, I dropped it like a hot tamale. God bless you and hope to see you around the Forums!

Jupiter is my middle name. My mother and father loved the song “Jupiter and Teardrop”. No deeper meaning other than my birth name :)
