The "meaning of life" can and does have different meanings for different people; there is no one answer everyone can point to with certainty and drill down a meaning for this existence. Some of us would argue that life has no meaning at all, but what we might personally ascribe to it. So, why are we here?
There is only one reason we are here, and it is the same reason for the devout religious zealot as it is for the atheist. We are here to take a test. That’s it, nothing profound here. We exist, in these flesh bodies, for one reason and one reason only: to be tested by God. "This is a test . . . This is only a test."
Everyone alive today, and everyone who has died before us, have taken this test. No one is exempt from this test, save our Father’s election, (that is an entirely different subject). Furthermore, no one gets more than one shot at passing this test. We get our threescore and ten years (for some 50, for some 90) to pass this test and then the test ends.
And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Hebrews 9.27
This generation is obsessed with political correctness, so allow an elaboration on that scripture for social warriors by saying, “It is appointed unto men and women to live and to die once, and then judgment will be made on you.” Who’s judging, you ask? We will all appear before the judgement seat of Christ. Does He have the right to judge me, you ask? Of course He does, He and our Heavenly Father created you.
Adam's RIB, from which God created Eve, means "the curve or the arch" in the Hebrew manuscripts. DNA. Our Heavenly Father told us plainly: All souls are Mine! We need to believe our real Father when He tells us that, and we need to believe we are but strangers and pilgrims as we go through this flesh life.
So, and I cannot overemphasize the importance of this: please pass your test! It means eternal life in the most beautiful kingdom you might possibly imagine where everyone you meet is your best friend. You will want to be there.
