Feeling alone, and tired.Always doing things for my kids and they never appreciate anything that i do for them.
Hi Brunny,
Been there, in fact still there hehe. First i have to remember that God is right there w/ me thru the storms and clutter. You can always run to the Lord too, all who are weary and heavy-laden. I hope u find time to refresh thru His words, early in the day, or just before bed. Both works, but i like at night esp too because sometimes even when we're tired, we cannot always go to sleep at once, and it helps to have positive, Godly thoughts from what we read before going off to sleep.
I'm not sure what ages ur children are, but whatever, at some point i knew they had to learn to catch some of the housework, and we learn to delegate too=). When they were small, i wanted them to have some rest after coming home from school, and didnt want them at my back while preparing dinner. But i realized that was valuable time when they could have been involved in helping mama at a rather stressful time for me too. The appreciation has to be taught too, i guess, altho how would vary depending on how (much or little) they are involved now. There was a missionary's house i visited once, and i saw how the mom brightly said Thank you to a child who assisted in a small way. I realized it must be some difference in pace, for theirs seemed like a slower-paced household, they can move and do some things slowly.. While at home, my hubby is esp one who likes to breeze thru tasks-- actually w/ help from the kids. It is easy for him to fix their bike, for ex., then let them clean up afterwards. W/ cooking, as he does not do that everyday, he can also quickly call for a child or 2 when he wants someone to prepare garlics and onions, or wash up after cooking. While mama, who seems the mainstay at the kitchen... can well do it by herself-- or can she?!
Praying the Lord give us more wisdom as we ask, and strength, wc everyone really needs day by day. Hope to see u more, bunny, as we encourage each other in this journey of life!
