The Wheat will grow together with the Wicked tares to the end. That is why in the Rev 14 {Harvest Chapter} we see three different Harvests. The Jews and Tares are on earth when Jesus returns at the VERY END, Thus the 144,000 are ALL Israel [who repented], its a metaphoric number for All Israel. We see the Jews gathered with Jesus, in verses 18-20 we see the Wicked tares BUNDLED UP {killed and placed in the grave but not judged yet} to be judged in 1000 years at the Second Death. So the Wheat and the Tares grow together to the end. The Church is shown in verse 14 with Jesus on a cloud talking them out in a sorta SOLILOQUY, and thus the Church has Jews in it but the Jews are told in Daniel 12 that they will stand in their lot at the very end.
So, you allowing a phrase THE LAST DAY, to overcome all the rest of scriptures, to mandate that everything happens in ONE DAY just doesn't jibe with scriptures brother. Its why we have to understand God's TIMING on everything. The Jews were chosen by God via FAITH {AAbraham believed} and rejected because they served the Law instead of God, they were so blind they couldn't see the express image of God in Jesus Christ. God then rejected the Jews IN PART, I used to think this meant God rejected all Jews but a few, I now understand it never meant any such thing, God rejects NO Jews, He allows all men to come unto him by Christ Jesus his son and never rejects anyone, the IN PART means as a Nation, thus God rejected Israel as a cohesive nation, he would not use them henceforth to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole earth,. instead he turned to the Gentiles, that is what Roman's chapters 9-11 is all about. Paul is saying, can not God {Potters Wheel} choose whom He so pleases? He chose Esau the ELDER to serve Jacob the YOUNGER. Likewise, He has chosen the Gentiles over the Jews to carry the Gospel to the ends of the world.
Then, after the Rapture, during the 70th week, God calls Israel to repentance, we see in Zechariah 13:8-9 that 1/3 repent and 2/3 perish, then the Day of the Lord arrives in Zechariah 14:1-2 and in verses 3and 4 we see Jesus' Second Coming. So it's very important to understand the whole of the biblical story. I haven't even bothered looking at the "LAST DAY" reference in many, many years. because I realize it doesn't even matter nor equate, the Jews and the Church are DIFFERENT ENTITIES, and until one can grasp that key point of emphasis, they are not going to be able to figure all these passages out, IMHO.
We know the Day of the Lord starts with the asteroid plunging into the earth, we know the Judgments don't all come to pass in one day, we know that Apollyon is released from the pit and harms men for FIVE MONTHS. Taking one passage and running with it is just not the way we are told to study the Bible brother, especially eschatology.

Zechariah 14:1-12KJV
14 Behold,
the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which
is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west,
and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee
to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come,
and all the saints with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day,
that the light shall not be clear,
nor dark:
7 but it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass,
that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day,
that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the Lordshall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and
from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.
11 And
men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
2 Peter 3:10-13KJV
10 But
the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11
Seeing then
that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner
of persons ought ye to be in
all holy conversation and godliness,
12 looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Revelation 22:1-5KJV
22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner offruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 and they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
1 Corinthians 15:52KJV
52 in a moment,
in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
