The baptism of the Holy Spirit saves water baptism is to show your devotion and repentance into a new life
God saves people. You recognize them by their baptism. Whoever wears white clothing needs to be more careful while in dirty areas. Whoever believes will be saved...etc. It's a trait, not a law. Many baptisms but only one that saves.
I'm glad you managed to get saved in spite of your very difficult background! Yes, getting baptized in water is required if able to do it (like not in prison or on the cross, like the thief who repented on the cross next to Jesus). But being baptised in water won't save anyone who hasn't truly repented and received Jesus as Savior and Lord (God) of their life. And anyone who does accept Jesus as Lord (God) and Savior, are then automatically filled with the Holy Spirit and led by Him.The baptism of the Holy Spirit saves water baptism is to show your devotion and repentance into a new life

I do not agree. Just saying. By the way the bible does not teach what you are espousing. Titus 3:5Not necessarily.... receiving the indwelling presence is a separate act from salvation....... Now, they CAN occur at the same time, BUT they come to us differently. The Apostle Paul explains HOW we receive the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in the Book of Acts...........just saying
I think rather in spite of my background instead it is because of my background I was saved. I thank God for all I have been through because it made me who I am today and is a testament of how he uses the broken and wounded to shine his glory. The only reason I got water baptized was because Jesus did it, I didn't even do it to proclaim anything other than what was already in my heart but the moment I was baptized with fire that was when I truly felt his presence and when I was truly savedI'm glad you managed to get saved in spite of your very difficult background! Well as far as I know we receive him once he is let into our hearts but I think the manifestation of the spirit is what we recieve as we grow closer to him. The more we develop our bond with him the more the influence of the spirit becomes evident in the light we shine the gifts we show and the way he flows with the person and with the body of ChristNot necessarily.... receiving the indwelling presence is a separate act from salvation....... Water baptism immediately after believing the Gospel. But water baptism does not save, so this needs to be properly interpreted.Mark 16: 15, 16. "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved"... WHAT baptism?
I didn't get water baptized until a year after I was saved, I don't know how important it is to do so right after salvation but I think the topic of water baptism is a vastly misunderstood one.Water baptism immediately after believing the Gospel. According to Scripture (the book of Acts) water baptism was always immediately after conversion. Just go through that book. And if it was not important, it would have been delayed. Paul even baptized at midnight!I didn't get water baptized until a year after I was saved, I don't know how important it is to do so right after salvation but I think the topic of water baptism is a vastly misunderstood one.
Well at the time I was a new believer and I didn’t have anybody to guide me besides God so I was unaware of how baptism wasAccording to Scripture (the book of Acts) water baptism was always immediately after conversion. Yeah that works very well if you have an bona fide Apostle on hand.According to Scripture (the book of Acts) water baptism was always immediately after conversion. Just go through that book. And if it was not important, it would have been delayed. Paul even baptized at midnight!
